its_urabus Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Ive held a 2008 gen at the AD and I hate the rehaut engraving. For me, this is just another reason to build a vintage franken. I will be excited to see TTKs pics. I love his photographs.
ahchard Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 just wondering if anyone can help me here... i am gonna grab one of this later today, but I think there are 2 models available, the standard sub and the LV green bezel. do they make the LV with the rolex engraving in the rehaut for gens as well?
mezzanine Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 just wondering if anyone can help me here... i am gonna grab one of this later today, but I think there are 2 models available, the standard sub and the LV green bezel. do they make the LV with the rolex engraving in the rehaut for gens as well? I'm 90% sure that they do, hopefully someone will know for sure....
kenofstephen Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 oh............ where are the pics? half-day gone.......
Nightstroker Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 oh............ where are the pics? half-day gone....... Dont worry....TTK takes excellent photos and we will all see the watch very soon....he is probably still in BK....
manuel Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 We can always brush the rolex engraving and get it plain surface..no letter engraving then. TTK, when will a mbw rolex 168000 come out? I am talking about the transitional sub with lugholes and mate dial and shappire crystal.
vcff Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 TTK Pm me too Please Ill be in line for one of these thanks..
elprimerozen Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 ...we are a strange comunity here.....
rek001 Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 TTK has that sort of effect sometimes....
Guest carlsbadrolex Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 And we wonder why prices go up and stay up... There are at least 5 people in this thread who have stated that they want to buy this watch site unseen. Its the newest, latest and greatest Rolex Replica!!! I wonder if it will still have issues? are the CG's perfect? Dial font? Date font? The long sought after but never actually found PERFECT rehaut? Even if all of these issues were not present in the most current release, is Rolex still spelled with a P??? I never have understood that one!!! Dont get me wrong, Im not trying to knock TTK or MBW. Hell, Ive bought two MBW/MBK's this week alone! But DAMN PEOPLE... Offering to send money without ever even seeing a picture?
ahchard Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 I am wearing one on my wrist now... i am no wis so i don't know how accurate it is... at a hotel now leaving to the airport in 2 hours... not sure if i have time to put some photos... will try
ahchard Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 internet very slow at the hotel so i will post one first so you can all have a look and i will post more.
Nightstroker Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Thats close enough for me!....Ill just wait untill I can get the GMT version....or I suppose I could take the dial and movement out of the GMT that I got from Andrew and swap....hmmm....not a bad idea as long as the bezel swaps also....
vmena Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Same insert than previous MBW... CG's a bit different from side view (less sharpen) but from up side view seems less straight, better date font... only remarkable difference is the engraving on inside rehaut ring... let's see price but as usual, too high expectations...
Edwin25 Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Wondering of a TT version will be availeble soon...
rosnik Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 internet very slow at the hotel so i will post one first so you can all have a look and i will post more. Isn't it one bit conical this rehault? And the engraving on inside rehaut ring ROLBX- ROLBX-ROLBX is really out.............
steen Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 @Rosnik That's right. I was just looking at the same thing! It looks conical. Can it de distorsion fram the cristal?
rosnik Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 @Rosnik That's right. I was just looking at the same thing! It looks conical. Can it de distorsion fram the cristal? Yes it may be so, or it may be one problem on the not Gen crystal too. Wile.......... some extra pictures can help too. BMW: The not correct engraving it's sure one difficult to get correct problem, The only way to solve it is to get the case on a late ( leave the engraving) and get one pre-2008 ver. Than looking the crown position, I suppose it has one 2836-2 movement.
Star69 Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 puhhh - money saved this is not for me ... Frank
Dizzy Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 The closeup pic probably is making the rehaut look conical. The engraving sure does look horrible though yikes! My old non-working chrono Daytona from 3 yrs ago has better rehaut engraving by far! They always have to f**k up something dont they? lol dizz
perry563 Posted January 26, 2008 Author Report Posted January 26, 2008 I have one on the way from TTK. I will let everyone know.
gioarmani Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Sorry, this thing looks absolutely horrible.
its_urabus Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 it is just as ugly as the gen. I went to my AD yesterday and the sales person was wearing it. he knows me by sight, and asked when I was going to bite the bullet and just buy one. I laughed and just kept looking at the pre owned. I hope this is just a phase with rolex, I wouldn;t mind the serial engraved on therehaut, but the rolexrolexrolex is just poor taste. its a tool watch, not bling watch... just my 2 cents
