Coeuss
For those of you not following my 'Bond 22' thread in the Omega section.... New Bond Film Title Confirmed Just in time for our friends in Guangzhou to produce a near perfect PO. I need a new one since my old one is broken. I would like to see one with correct symbol, correct markers, correct bezel. It's not too much to ask is it. If I were to Franken Omega one it would cost over 600 bucks at that point I might as well save my money and buy a real one.
Pugwash
They might as well have called it "James Bond and the Temple of Doom" or "James Bond: The Phantom Menace". Not the best title choice.

b16a2
Im such an avid Bond fan, I can't wait for the release of this one! Title for me is irrelevant, I know it's going to be brilliant.
r11co
Title for me is irrelevant... Agreed, although (like DC) it has grown on me. With this being the 40th Anniversary of Fleming's death there had to be a literary link in the title. It would have been disrespectful not to. confused69u
I can't wait for this one either but Batman #2 will definitely trump this.

Dizzy
Why dont they just call it Bond22? These titles are getting rediculous haha. I hope one day they go back to Rolex becasue i really dont like Omegas anymore lol. The last bond film as borderline ok... needs WAY more gadgets and cars though. The last film really didnt have that "007" feeling. dizz

However, on all other points, I could not disagree more. More gadgets? Last film didn't feel like 007? Is Crack free where you live?
TeeJay
Indeed, I liked the 'less gadgets' aspect of Casino Royale. Bond didn't really have 'gadgets' as such in the novels (certainly not as they were in the movies) I felt that aspect kept Casino Royale more true to the original spirit of Bond, not the corrupted version people recognize from the movies. We need less naked james bond and more cool gagets and stuff. Oh yeah and they need to go back to ROLEX and dump the omegas!!! haha Here comes the flames from the Omega guys!! The only gadget that I can think of, would be the defibrilator, and possible the real-time monitoring of Bond's vital signs. However, the technology exists for such a device, so I wouldn't like to say for sure that it could be considered a 'fantasy' gadget, as was the case with previous Bond movies. [Edit to add] As much as I prefer Omega as a brand to Rolex, indeed, going back to Bond's roots should include going back to a Rolex. That's what Fleming wrote, that's what he should have Edited January 29, 2008 by TeeJay
