UncleJay Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 As I've said in the past, I'm a freakin' nut. I've changed collections many times in the last few years. I started with Rolex (my original 5513 is the only that remains) and moved to Panerai in late '99. I've also had sub-collections, like when I went daft for chronos then later for two-register chronos. Now, it's movie watches. I have several in my collection and want to add more, it's a cool subject when I open my watch cases. Here's what I have (or will shortly have), what would you add to make my collection better? Daylight (5218-201/A) Avenging Angelo (PAM0127) Eraser/Driven/John Rambo (5218-202/A) rep End Of Days (AP EOD Chrono) Transporter 2 (PAM0196) Cliffhanger/Broken Arrow (Breitling Aerospace) The Specialist (Franchi Menotti Sciabecco) Minority Report (Omega X-33) Shooter (Suunto Vector) Bourne Identity (Tag Link Chrono and Swatch Irony Scuba 200 "Sine Curve") I Am Legend (Swiss Army ST 4000) Mission Impossible 3 (Casio G-Shock) Miami Vice (Vacheron Constantine Maltese Chrono) Goldfinger (Rolex Submariner) Golden Eye (Omega SMP, auto for 007 and quartz for 006) WOULD LIKE TO ADD: AP T3 (T3), AP XX Chrono (The Sixth Day), Hamilton Twilight (I Am Legend), and a Breitling Top Time (Thunderball).
Victoria Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 Starry-eyed collection! Here are my suggestions for you: - Tag Heuer Monaco Chronograph (Le Mans, 1971) - IWC Mark XV (Firewall, 2006 & Vanilla Sky, 2001) - Vostok diver (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, 2004) - Jaeger Le Coultre Reverso Duo (The Admin Crown Affair, 1999) - Jaeger Le Coultre Master Compressor (Hors de Prix, 2006 & You, Me and Dupree, 2006) ...and of course - Panerai 127 (Elizabethtown, 2005) I could talk about watches in movies all day and tomorrow.
scoobs1971 Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 Great idea for a collection! Don't forget the Breitling Chrono Avenger from Blood Diamonds. And if you already have the SMP you need the PO on black rubber (Daniel Craig) too. And what about the IWC Aquaracer 'Slevin'?
z80 Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 How about the Hamilton Ventura from Men in Black?
Watchmeister Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 z80- You beat me to it. A cheap but necessary classic.

UB7 Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 Brilliant collection, but your missing 1 of the best! From "Lucky Number Slevin" - IWC Aquatimer
Pugwash Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 Omega Speedmaster Pro: Apollo 13, Right Stuff, From the Earth to the Moon (and every other Mercury, Gemini and Apollo astronaut movie made)
Sweattdogg Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 I'll second the blue bond SMP, and maybe even the Planet Ocean if it's in the new Bond 22.
Toadtorrent Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 Slevin and Moonwatch for sure. Slevin as it was one of the most anticipated reps ever...and the Moonwatch for being representative of one of the more important historical timepieces used so often in movies!!
sport ice Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 Cliffhanger (Breitling Aerospace) No sorry! Sly wearing in Cliffhanger a Breitling Navitimer! Minority Report (Omega X-33) No sorry! Mr. Cruise wearing in "M.R." a BVLGARI Phantasie Modell with quarz movement!!
Pugwash Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 Minority Report (Omega X-33) No sorry! Mr. Cruise wearing in "M.R." a BVLGARI Phantasie Modell with quarz movement!! The Bulgari was a rebranded X-33
UncleJay Posted March 23, 2008 Author Report Posted March 23, 2008 Correct Pugwash. Sly also wore a Chronomat and Aerospace in Cliffhanger, don't remember seeing the Nav. Good catch.

meinessex Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Dont forget the 'Ass watch' scene from Pulp Fiction, not sure what make or model it is. Anyone know? Now I can answer my own question..... It's a Lancet.
Pugwash Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Now I can answer my own question..... It's a Lancet. You sure about that? I thought it was a Rolex.
JBond Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 In Goldeneye, 007's and 006's models are quartz SMP. The automatic SMP start in Tomorrow never dies.
