kuiksilver
Dear All, Just a thought that crossed my mind the other day: as a newbie I think coming to this forum is coming to the right one. It is the right one as long as you understand what is meant by the fellow forumist. We tend to use a lot of initials and, may I say, they are quite difficult to understand for newbies. Wouldn't it be a great idea to have a gloassry for newbies just to make them feel better? I start: SSD: Super Sea Dweller : Considered to be a high grade Rep of Sea Dweller AR Coating: Anti Reflective Coating : Coatings which are applied to the crystal to avoid reflection and flare, to ease the time reading. Well I have some more but let's make this project a group project. Hope it helps ! Cheers

kuiksilver
Yep, I concur, it is not working. As much as I understand the frustration of repetition, I think if the subject has been covered, it should be pinned. Anyway SEARCH is your friend: I concur! (thanks for the warm welcome !) rodwc
It did not work here. Is it in member area? You hit the nail on the head yim156. It is indeed in the "members area". ( supporters area ). Conclusion.............. upgrade to supporter, it is well worth it.
Victoria
If I may dare a suggestion to Mods: The glossary is actually a very important part of rep watches. As you all know, I contributed a lot of time and effort compiling it, as did others. But I personally did so for the newbies, who are often in the most earnest need of it. Though this was solicited in the Supporter Area, and I knew full well it was intended for Supporters only, I urge you to make it public instead of "pay". If I were a newbie, that single-handedly would ENCOURAGE me to upgrade. Thanks either way.

Victoria
Try looking in the wiki Oh, hello! I thought that was the link mentioned above. Is the Wiki entry, to which I contributed, only for Supporting members or for everyone? Sorry for the confusion.

kuiksilver
Vic, Andy, I can access the Wiki so all is good in my perfect world. Thank you lads ans lassie(s) for your contributions. ... that has been said, I still think that the Wiki article should be a sticky on the "introduction" area. Anyway, cold beer time in sunny UK! (for once...)
