Nanuq
It's a LeJour Superman diver if I'm right. Cool watch! Superman it is! Well spotted! Now who can find me a gen minutes hand for it?
old skool
@old skool can you please introduce us last watch on your picture show thx It started out as a nice condition Seiko 6309 vintage diver. I purchased dial and hands from MKII (Yao), had the chapter ring custom made, new Seiko bezel insert and crystal, black day/date wheels, beadblasted case and assembly by Duarte of NEWW. I also had him paint the tip of the black sweep orange. I mounted a beadblasted Watchadoo bracelet to it to complete the look. I have since sold the watch. Started out like this: This was my original concept but I didn't feel like paying for custom dial work: I ended up with this: My other Seiko diver mod project looks like this (I've sold this watch already as well) Seiko SKX007 to start. MKII dial and hands. Black Monster day/date wheels. Aluminum oxide case blasting and assembly by NEWW. I also had the factory bracelet aluminum oxide blasted except for the signed clasp which I had beadblasted to give a contrast.
JoJo35
Wow, gotta respect the outside the box thinking that went into these projects! I bet you miss them! JoJo35
Beautiful stuff! Bring it on! @JoJo35 ... Thanks Nanuq! (we're not worthy! lol) I've actually learned a lot from you, which brought me to my favorite: My "meters first" sub. I tried to make it as correct as possible, with an early case, twin-lock crown/tube, 9315, gen tritium pearl, aged insert, T-127, and a beautifully aged dial by the master. Oops, almost forgot the 1570!
pizzanooo
Only one I have currently, but a new Korsbek arriving in a month or so I hope.
Nanuq
It's nice to see I'm not the only dive watch fanatic here. We're ALL sick! Jojo that's a spectacular meters-first. You nailed the insert (pointy-four) and pearl. I'd make one tiny suggestion... work over the endlinks so they fit the case slightly better, then try to match the brushing/polishing/brightness of the two so they look like they've lived together a long time.
