jeff g
AirKing without a doubt. The Explorer I is like a beginner rolex. The AK is sweet. Way more 'Italian' than the other two.

wadan
Thank you all for your responses so far So far it is an even split between the EXPI and the AK , I do like them both and that is the problem, I would get them booth but I feel that 2 36mm watches in my collection is quit enough Edited June 2, 2008 by wadan
chrgod
I am a big fan of the Air-King.. But for a really understated Rolex, I would put a wild card into the race.. The Cellini. That is a Rolex that does not look like a Rolex. It is not popular in here, for obvious reasons.. Still, it remains the most understated Rolex. There are some rather good replicas of the Cellini. Some pics of gens. I do remember seeing a good replica of this one, at Silix-prime, but I cant find it at the moment.. :/ Replica.. 37mm Manual wind Asian movement
Star69
my vote : Explorer or Date Just - the Airking is too small with 34mm. but they are all nice Frank

Noel Fleischer
Hi Frank , you are right about the Gen AK it is 34mm , but in the "rep world "it is 36 to 37mm, which made my conceder it , I have 7.5" wrist thanks and cheers i vote for airking too. if its at least 36mm. the new gens are bigger as are the whole line. (see new gmt-ceramic). i think that's the smallest that a guy can wear nowadays. almost everything is like 44mm and up! i still can't get used to rollies on a leather band. maybe a daytona? good luck
