Nanuq
Now there's a money making idea... sell knowledge! Or at least rent it... What's the man say? "We do it all for the Nuqi"?? Sounds like a song: Money for nothing and the chicks for free.

Dizzy
I cant believe noone else has said it, but I believe this gentleman's dead giveaway is the PLASTIC crystal. What type of crystal is supposed to be on it? Do you mean its aftermarket rather than gen? Rolex didnt start to use saphire crystals until the early 90's i think it was. freddy333
Hmmmm... I've never seen one with SUBMARINER in anything but gold on a gilt dial. It should be silver 100m over gold SUBMARINER. Or, as you said, red depth rating over gold SUB. Same here. Of course, with vintage Rolex, that is not to say that they are not out there. But if they are, they are very rare. Flashman
I cant believe noone else has said it, but I believe this gentleman's dead giveaway is the PLASTIC crystal. I think the early Rollies did use acrylic domed 'plastic glass' for their submariners as it was strong. Looks like a beat up and repaired gen to me.
