mightykazoo Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Alright! sweet look! His vintage lume is a lot better. Last year around this time it was way too yellow. Now quit snapping photos and get back to work on my strap!
peepshow Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Did you sand down the CG, or....? I'm just wondering what happened to the Reg. TM. engraving?
old skool Posted June 24, 2008 Author Report Posted June 24, 2008 Did you sand down the CG, or....? I'm just wondering what happened to the Reg. TM. engraving? I requested to not have it on there. So this is how it came.
Dani Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 This is one of the nicest looking homage i have seen Enjoy it. Cheers, Dani
tmg Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Very nice results Z! There's something about a chocolate brown dial. Wear it well.
old skool Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 (edited) Thanks. I am going to hold off on modding it for more vintage goodness until I have "broken it in" on the wrist. I also need to find some time to put together some really nice straps for it. A B&W version: Edited June 25, 2008 by old skool
blueradish Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 OS, you've got to have the best collection of homage PAM's out there.
flyback Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Did you sand down the CG, or....? I'm just wondering what happened to the Reg. TM. engraving? On a vintage 47mm the crownguard engraving will be "brev ital", not Reg. TM.
old skool Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 OS, you've got to have the best collection of homage PAM's out there. Thank you. I still need a PVD phantom radiomir, and a submersible with blue dial. A wonderful timepiece! Thank you On a vintage 47mm the crownguard engraving will be "brev ital", not Reg. TM. I simply requested a crown guard with no marking because it is an homage and I didn't want to get into that grey area.
old skool Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 I have one 44mm Ti, black sandwich dial with subsec (Swiss ETA 6497 with modified Chinese bridges/dagger/swan neck w/display back). One 44mm PVD, black base sandwich dial (base Swiss ETA 6497 w/display back). One 44mm brushed/polished with white base dial (base Swiss ETA 6497 w/display back). One 47mm custom 187 look watch (Asian 7753). One 47mm brushed/polished vintage case w/ tobacco base sandwich dial with vintage lume and vintage gold hands, plus domed sapphire crystal, and closed case back (basic hi beat Chinese 6497 clone). Still waiting for 45 or 47mm PVD Radiomir with black mil hands, black sandwich dial w/phantom lume and subsec with black second hand. I have a black monster croc strap with black ammo stitching waiting for that. I would love a "PVD" Soprod movement with display case back but not sure if that will ever happen. Last watch I would like is the blue dialed submersible with the nipple markers on the bezel and subsec in 44mm size. I have a nice deep reddish brown strap with blue stitching to fit it. Here are some of my current collection:
old skool Posted June 27, 2008 Author Report Posted June 27, 2008 is this from DSN? LOVE it! I wish. I bought it a long time ago from some guy second hand. I think he had it custom modified? I tried over a long period of time to track down more info and to try to have another one made but no luck. Oh well.

docdoc Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Can I ask you what's model is the one in the middle ?
ubiquitous Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Great hommage! And I love your trio of unbranded 44mm 'Luminors'! Very nice!
old skool Posted July 2, 2008 Author Report Posted July 2, 2008 Can I ask you what's model is the one in the middle ? It's just a Ti case with black sandwich sub dial. Similar to a 177 I guess.
docdoc Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Can I ask you what's model is the one in the middle ? Made some researches, I guess it is the 177H
550bryan Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 I heard Davidsen mentioned before as a good source, but I don't know where to find him, (I'm fairly new at this and learning) any help? Thanks

Thanks Just do a quick search. There are many people with reviews and feedback. Also Davidsen has a dealer section on some of the rep forums. His email is davidsenjpn@yahoo.com
capice Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 New pictures: sweet timepiece, compliments m8. I really love the lume color on this, I prefer it above the original color...
