Rolecs Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 Hi all, My sub Bezel doesn't click anymore, I cannot find any tutorial to help me doing that. Anyone can Help? thanks a lot
Sir-Lancelot Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 What watch is it? Some bezels are press on very tight and you risk ruining your bezel. Anyway Stick something between the case & bezel. Watchmakers knife or a credit card and turn the bezel to the left. Might want to tape up the lug if you use metal or you will scratch the case. It will pop off. You will have one of three types of click mechanism. 1. A flat shim that goes around the crystal. It will have three areas that are raised up to ride the notches in the bezel and one bent down to fit into a hole in the case at 12 and keep it from sliding when you turn the bezel. 2. A hole in the case with a spring and a pellet. Be careful with this one. Once you remove the bezel the pellet shoots across the room never to be found again. 3. A hole in the case with a piece of bent wire that rides the notches on the bezel. Good luck.
Alextor Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 May be this will further shed light on the topic Bezel tutorial Cheers Alex

Dizzy Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 which sub is it and where did you get it from? Some come off easy, and some like the noobmariner are HARD to get off and usually get bent in the process. dizz
Rolecs Posted July 7, 2008 Author Report Posted July 7, 2008 Yeps you're right! it's a noobmariner and I finally get it off but the bezel is now bent!!!... f*** Where is it possible to find another one? will it fit on it? Thanks
geo1nah2a Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Ordering a new bezel for a noobmariner might cost almost as much as the whole watch! Bent bezels can be made straight again.. Been there, done that. Take your time, and You can do it. If You have the pellet-spring loaded assembly, the pellet can be found again on the floor by placing a strong light on the floor level, doing some push ups next to it, while looking at all directions around you.
fakemaster Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 These things take a lot of practice. Sorry you bent it. Try the Bay.
Sir-Lancelot Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 lay it on a flat surface, you will be able to tell where it is bent, then get creative. Use the wood end of a hammer to give a good bang while the flat end is clamped. Set it in between two boards in on your deck and push. You will find something if you think it out. Be patient and check your progress often. Don't try to do it all at once. Slow and steady wins the race.
Daytona4me Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 When my clicker doesnt work anymore I just add new batteries.

But I bent them all back without problems like Sir-Lancelot discribe it...
