Considering buying something new, love the new MM but was asking Joshua about a few spare things I need and mentioning my interest in the BP. His response was that there would be "something interesting in a few weeks". He's teased me that way before, this has me ready to order now.

Keep your eyes peeled!

Interesting ... lets see how plausible this info. is ... not to be skeptical but need to see it to believe it :) and even then if it comes out it has to be 1:1 or as close to that as possible to make me consider getting one ...

When it comes, we'll see it. In the mean time, just lay back and enjoy the view of ajoesmith's avatar. :)

Yup... his avatar is awesome. Does anybody know who she is....

Yor are right Laz. A Big Pilot is something i would want but not at the standard that they repped the Port Auto 7 Days. That was just downright horrible. Not even close.....

yea, I would love to see a bp too, but the problem remains of repping a movement with a 7 DAY power reserve. Not saying it cant be dont (remember the days before the invention of asian 7750 chrono's) but It's alot harder then it sounds. I am skeptical, but we shall see :rolleyes:B)

For me the 7 days power reserve doesn't need to be actually working as long as the hand on the PR subdial moves back from 7 days to less and winding the watch will get it back to 7 days.

More important will be the proper positioning of the PR subdial and the date @6 without sunken datewheels. And off course a dial with lume on the (thinned) 3, 6,9 and 12 markers.

So we'll see........

If they are able to fabricate a reliable 7-day PR movement doesn't it follow that other watches,..... like the Big Ingenieur, would be forth-coming?

Ditto Scoobs!

I have yet to own an IWC but this would be the one. Guess we'll wait and see.

Maybe this will scratch that Big Pilot itch:

I can't wait for the Big Pilot. I picked up a slew of new reps, which I am very excited about (namely, the AP ROO)... But the Big Pilot is certainly one of my faves!

Hopefully the new vintage line will show up, too: Ingenieur, Aquatimer, Mark IX, Portuguese etc...

I am not so bothered if the watch has 7 days PR as long as the indicator shows 7 days when fully wound and goes to zero when empty, but if it does not move at all i wont be buying

I hope that it's got PR of some sort, even if it's just 3-4 days.

I'd love to see them rep the Big Ingy someday. I'd absolutely get one.
