If he has problems with his eyes, the even larger U-Boat watches would be even better suited to his needs than a Panerai... I will buy probably U-Boat quartz, I need one good solid "hard work watch" I have a big wrist, so ~50mm watch is quite ok for me. We have a trent for a few years here, U BOAT started this trent with the big watches. Now you're seeing big watches in every clothes/fashion show for 50 - 150 usd. I really don't like them. I like the way they look, but the sizing is ridiculous, and as such, I would never want one nor wear one. They remind me of airplane gauges, which are cool to look at (but not to wear).
