I was fortunate enough to buy a wonderful VDBroucke piece a few months ago. It was beautiful and one of the few vintage movements I have owned that kept perfect "cable box" time. Then I was dumb enough to drop it onto the pavement. :bangin: Dial paint chipped and crown broke off. So off to Ziggy for a refresher including dial repair and refinishing, yellowing of a fabulous plexi which an esteemed member was kind of enough to send me and even a little case banging up. So here is my VBD-Ziggified Marine Miitare :D :

Beautiful piece Kruz! That giant CG didn't protect the crown on impact??? :o

I love that movement too. It looks like you've got a perfect match for your deco bezel :)

Yes it is a gen 616 and keeping unbelievably good time. The strap is actually not a GSD but a Tootall which came with the watch. It is very nice and comfy and I think his prices are very reasonable.

Thank you for the correction and the compliment. This was a special strap done for this watch. If I would have had the money this bad boy would have been mine! :D

Outstanding Kruzer....Way beyond the concept of replica...closer to gen surely and with the equivalent of Da Vinci touching up Michelangelo's work - it's a true "Renaissance" work of art....

2009 for me ... I hope!

Cheers

Thanks Chief. And the best part it is still keeping fantastic time. It doesn't have seconds of course but after 10 days it is still spot on with the cable box. So I hereby hand it a "COSC" certificate.- :)
