Watchmeister Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 I was fortunate enough to buy a wonderful VDBroucke piece a few months ago. It was beautiful and one of the few vintage movements I have owned that kept perfect "cable box" time. Then I was dumb enough to drop it onto the pavement. Dial paint chipped and crown broke off. So off to Ziggy for a refresher including dial repair and refinishing, yellowing of a fabulous plexi which an esteemed member was kind of enough to send me and even a little case banging up. So here is my VBD-Ziggified Marine Miitare :
Stephane Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 A beauty Kruz. I have a similar aged MM but for some reason do never wear it ?!

JoJo35 Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Beautiful piece Kruz! That giant CG didn't protect the crown on impact??? I love that movement too. It looks like you've got a perfect match for your deco bezel
rmcsherry Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Looking great - hopefully it'll inspire me to finish a couple of mine! The GSD strap works nicely with it. Well done!

Lonami Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Fantastic piece ! The kind i'd like to have. Is it a gen cort
Chino Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 my vintage hunger has just grown, that's truly a keeper a very nice vintage piece. congrats to the assembly line! now I want one, my wishlist is impossible. cheers Kruzer!
Watchmeister Posted July 22, 2008 Author Report Posted July 22, 2008 Yes it is a gen 616 and keeping unbelievably good time. The strap is actually not a GSD but a Tootall which came with the watch. It is very nice and comfy and I think his prices are very reasonable.
sssurfer Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 WWWWW -- Wow, What a Watch With W.! I am not on vintage, but that watch with that movement is making me drool. Congrats, wear it well!
Cats Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Very nice watch. I think i'm falling for my first love of PAM's again. Carpe Diem Cats
tootall Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Yes it is a gen 616 and keeping unbelievably good time. The strap is actually not a GSD but a Tootall which came with the watch. It is very nice and comfy and I think his prices are very reasonable. Thank you for the correction and the compliment. This was a special strap done for this watch. If I would have had the money this bad boy would have been mine!
mikellem Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 No thats a "Master Peace" Kruz.. Simply gorgeous...
fishgodeep Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 Outstanding Kruzer....Way beyond the concept of replica...closer to gen surely and with the equivalent of Da Vinci touching up Michelangelo's work - it's a true "Renaissance" work of art.... 2009 for me ... I hope! Cheers FGD
evo5555 Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 aw my god!!.. its a beauty Kruz.. wear it well..
Watchmeister Posted August 3, 2008 Author Report Posted August 3, 2008 Thanks Chief. And the best part it is still keeping fantastic time. It doesn't have seconds of course but after 10 days it is still spot on with the cable box. So I hereby hand it a "COSC" certificate.-
