Taking face-on shots is not straight-forward. Also, it makes the watch look flat and lifeless. Something to hide? If this were the case, every dealer review would mention it. If this were the case, every dealer review would mention it. if you take a shot of a rolex that is not strait on you cannot see if the date is centered. every shot you see of a po is taken to make the hands look the correct lenth. yes they absolutly do it to hide the flaws. all of them should be required to take atleast one shot of the dial head on. Quite honestly, there isn't much that one can hide from an angled shot; only thing that I can think of is date magnification. Actually the funny thing about this is that I (and I suspect most members) don't use the bezel to check the HE valve, I used the Ten o'clock marker on the dial.
