White-faced dresswatch for my mum

Hello,

my mom's birthday is coming closer, and i want finally to offer her a nice rep. she already has a gen cartier tank, but searches for something a bit larger with running secs.

i already scouted her tastes, and it comes down to this:

dress watch

38mm tops

white face

mechanic (!)

large running seconds (!)

good finish

AR would be nice

reliable movement too

i looked around a bit, found some that are interesting:

-jules audemars (no review on that here?) precious times

-longines masters from precious times

-chanel j12 white, a bit more flashy but still interesting

-rolex ym, quite sporty, i'm especially unsure if she'll like the cyclops

it really doesn't have to be a ladies rep as long as its not too large.

can you give me some more tips on what to check out?

Beware with the J12 because the ceramic can be poor quality. What do you think of a nice Omega Constelation or De Ville?

yes, those are sexy as hell. but rather on the large side of things, rather 40mm than the advirtised 38mm. and not too easy to get anymore?

is there a review for the jules audemars offered by Precious Time?

i found one that really hits the spot... breguet classique

guess it'S a bit too thick, but this is gonna be a problem with most dresswatches i guess... calatrava would fit too.

Yes I Think so! Sorry for the question but how old have your mother? Because you are looking for very classic watches! I need to know what do you really wants bscause jlc master control is very very different than a J12! So what is the best for your mum? A classic watch? Or a fashion watch?

i'm rather searching for a classic watch like the breguet or the patek, with guilloche dial and such.

BUT if it is nice, i'll take something more sporty (like the j12) too.

I would recommend a Mid sized Rolex Datejust which at 31mm would not appear a large as a man's 36mm version but still give her the larger size that she is looking for. Have a look at the watch below which isn't a new model but a good example of the size and style. It has the diamonds on the bezel and dial which will please most all women.
