Ztech Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Hey Matty, The only reasonable and logical solution to your problem is to buy them both and do a rather lengthy and detailed review of them with lots of mandatory pictures. Or your account will be deleted... hehehe j/k Sorry can't help you there Matty as I'd probably buy them both and stare at them while you tune out your girlfriend's voice. Sorry couldn't help you there either. This hobby is a serious business. Welcome. z
mars08 Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Ask yourself this question.... "what would Commander Bond wear?"
fakemaster Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 I would not be so anal about it. If you want everyone to know you like bond get the one with 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 007007007007007007007007007007007007 all over it. Otherwise buy the other
JBond Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 The question is: what do you prefer? Personly I think, get a swiss ETA is better because it's a great keep timer and the watch looking very great... In fact this is, very hard when you wear the watch to see it's a fake... Try here: ptswiss.com Pics are very good and the dealer too! Good luck, J.Bd
fauxlex Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 I went with a co-ax SMP "red" with crap asian movement. AKA a bargain bond. The crown guards don't look too bad in the pictures, and I like the look of the new SMPs. The He valve is still off I think, but I don't mind that. I'll post pics when I get it.

Rolex2U?
takashi Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Don't buy them. They are pretty off from the gen. Despite having correct He valve position, this case dimension is pretty off from the gen article. If you don't mind the wrong he valve, go for the watch on the market now.
TeeJay Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Who is the dealer? Rolex2U? Do you have a problem with Tony's watches?

Does the watch tell the time? If yes, what does it matter if the movement is Swiss or Asian? I've never had a problem with an Asian movement which I hadn't caused myself As for the HE valve, I believe they all are slightly off... Such is the nature of the game
TeeJay Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Not the closed factory version But that's not really easy to aquire, is it Maybe I should re-phrase my previous comment to "I believe all currently available are slightly off..."
takashi Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 That I would definitely agree. Infact, I won't hesitate recommending the gen watch. Sooner or later this SMP line will get discontinued and prices will go up considerably.

I guess gen is always the way to go in terms of precision and perfection to the gen Interesting thought about it getting discontinued though... I think there'll always be a demand for the SMPs, not only because of the Bond connection, but because it's just such a damn nice watch
JBond Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Do you have a problem with Tony's watches? No problem with Tony, just with silix but that another story.
TeeJay Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 No problem with Tony, just with silix but that another story. Fair enough, I just wondered why you initialy suspected the seller of the Bargain Bond to be Tony As for Silix, that does not suprize me at all, mon ami, I've a few stories I could tell about Silix myself
Iam2spy4U Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 I am new to the site and just registered because I want to know where i can buy a good SMP. I have an old one that I purchased in 2002 maybe and it got finally broke. I want to get a new one and I don't have a clue which sites are legit and have a high quality product.
