Racer0023
http://www.vintagerolexforum.com/ if your adventurous - eBay
Martyd3
I would stick with VRF and TZ. That is where the dealers are anyway. There is too much junk on ebay.
ubiquitous
AD's will also sell bracelets, though their willingness oft times depends on which AD you are dealing with, and if you have a relationship established already. At times, it's rather surprising to see how much less an AD charges vs. what the same item would sell for on the secondary market...
ubiquitous
VRF tends to be pretty pricey; folks are selling at collector's prices.

Find an AD with a parts account and a willingness to "bend the rules"... You'll be able to get what you're looking for at prices that are generally going to be cheaper than most. freddy333
ADs outside the US (especially in GB) tend to be more lenient with over-the-counter parts orders. I have not found any US ADs who will order parts, especially without a gen trade-in on the same part.
ubiquitous
Bracelets and the sort are usually easier to obtain; when you start getting into parts that are a little more involved with R&I is when you start running into instances of having to bring the watch in for parts exchanging, etc. Things like crystals, crowns, movement parts etc.

I have a dealer here in the US around the corner from my house that I've bought various odds and ends from over the years, and their on-site watchsmith begrudgingly agrees to my requests from time to time. Moderation is the key.
