piratedzeus Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 V1 has been fixed concerning the lume now.... 185$ from watchstation... anyone know cheaper source? watchstation usually is not really cheap... so could get lower somewhere else?
importr Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 I think $185 is currently the cheapest! I happen to have ordered another v1 from Peter last week. Waiting for delivery of it. I doubt it'll have the fixed lume dot though
CY0811 Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 So if the lume dot is fixed...what is the difference? Bezel engravings? Ive heard v1 is better bezel wise then some swear version 2 is better? I dont care about the engraved rotor.

b16a2 Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 The v1's crono pushers were slightly too long. As far as the bezel goes, my V2 is a very good bezel, is very solid and clicks with aiuthority, I think dud ones maybe down to the lack of QC in the rep world. For the price this updated V1 is a big big bargain! PS am I the only one who hates this labelling of v1 v2 v3....
coolfire Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 PS am I the only one who hates this labelling of v1 v2 v3.... No, you're not... I hate it too!
Toadtorrent Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 My question exactly. Other than that lume dot, what are the differences? Sorry for the V1/V2 nomenclature...but I don't know what other way is best to distinguish the 2. Rolexman did a good comparison here when making a V1 vs V2 hybrid V1 ========= Half lume dot @ 3...but as said in the thread title, Watchstation supposedly has this fixedNo "B" stamp on the bezelShallower engraving on caseback (supposedly more accurate)Smaller Type#Larger Date of Production between crown guards with a real dateBreitling signed rotor V2 ==========Better lume dot @ 3B stamping on bezelLess crisp engraving on bezelDeeper engraving of logo on caseback, and a heavier looking logoLarger Type # on casebackFictitious date of manufacture stamping between case lugs (2016)Barely noticeble, arguably better chrono pushers
dannyboy Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 He has the BlackSteel (PVD) with the lume dot fix too!
Toadtorrent Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 He only has it with the rubber strap as well...no bracelet. I don't know if he can get the rep leather either (smooth or croc grain). This might be what triggers me to get it.

This might be what triggers me to get it. Just got a mail back stating the it only comes with the rubber but for an additional $35 he can get the rep leather with deployment... I am VERY tempted! waiting for the pics of the leather strap....
FxrAndy Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 That is a very tempting offer pricing as it used to be!
Toadtorrent Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 That is a very tempting offer pricing as it used to be! I just paid for mine. Do the math: A7750 movement - $120Rubber strap - $50 = $15 watch! Woohoo!!
P8B Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I just paid for mine. Do the math: A7750 movement - $120Rubber strap - $50 = $15 watch! Woohoo!! I agree!!
pfran42 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 $200.00 for "super reps" with A7750 movements!!!! I would buy around 3 reps a month at this price. I bet the dealers would make enough off of this pricepoint due to the higher volume that this price generates.
bnb5550 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Wow, this is going to make me pull the trigger on a grey dial with brown croco!
P8B Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 I just paid for mine @Toad >> How long did he say before you recieve it? Cant wait for pics...
Toadtorrent Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 @Toad >> How long did he say before you recieve it? Cant wait for pics... It's in the hands of EMS...usually 7-10 days from when I get the EMS number...depends on Customs, Canada Post, etc...earliest by Monday. As usual...after getting the tracking number from the collector (doesn't matter which one) it takes 3-4 days before anything shows up on the EMS site. Once an entry shows up on EMS...it takes 3-4 days before it arrives in Canada (Vancouver)...and another 2-3 days before it makes it to the other side of Canada where I live.

Im hoping (( )) that you do a small review of the watch when you get it to help those of us still sitting on the fence!!!
Toadtorrent Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Fantastic!! Im hoping (( )) that you do a small review of the watch when you get it to help those of us still sitting on the fence!!! Nope...no can do...the review will be a BIG ONE. For a hint...see my other reviews like my Omega SMP Chrono one pinned in the Omega area, or the Crazy Hours pinned in the Other Brands area I've been working on assembling images and history and stuff for awhile now...
Mickey Padge Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 All of these new Skyland V1's with fixed lume dots at 3 have messy lume elsewhere, just like the V2's. At least that is how it seems from all the dealer pictures I have seen, or been sent.... One step forward, two steps back
LordRasta Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 One step forward, two steps back My exact thoughts. I'm confused as to how they "fixed" that lume dot. Did they redo it or just throw another dial in the watch? The v2 dial? Isn't the problem that the date window is either too big or too far to the right???

And the winner is Toadtorrent!!! Thanks buddy REALLY looking forward to it!
dannyboy Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 I received my Skyland and BlackSteel PVD--They simply used a slightly smaller dot and made no changes to the dial. I have to say it looks just fine to me. For the money you can't beat them.
