Introducing my franken Franck Muller Conquistador.... A smaller watch but a nice change every once in a while, and just as sharp as can be...

The Recipe

  • Old School 2892-A2 based FM Conq, fully serviced by The Zigmeister.
  • Genuine dial, relumed by The Zigmeister (Look at the AMAZING work)
  • Hands painted correct blue to match gen, and lumed by The Zigmeister
  • Genuine Alligator strap (Hadley-Roma Genesis II)

The FM Conq is definitely not a daily wear, but it is a nice change of pace from the usual clunkers and fits nicely under a shirt sleeve. The genuine dial really makes a difference (even if it lacks the punch of the rep dial), and this rep is strikingly identical to the gen on a side by side comparison. The dial I received had not been lumed, so The Zigmeister took care of that. I don't think I've ever seen better work, either.

So there you have it. I owe thanks to our resident FM expert... without this fine gentleman's assistance, this watch would not have been possible. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

WOW!!! Greeat pics of a gorgeous watch.

Absolutely no way to make a Conq. better than that, folks. The hands now match gen 1:1 in color and anyone who's seen a gen dial knows that there is just no comparison between the rep and gen in visual quality. There are only two in the world...well, there are thousands, I guess, that look almost exactly like Chieftang's but only two that cost less than grand.

Wear it well, My friend!

Chief - i have a similar Franken - done by The Zigmeister. We were never able to get the 2892 to work correctly (it was a copy - not genuine.) As such - I never wear it. I am thinking of make one last shot and buying a genuine 2892 and seeing if that will finally make it a great working watch.

Enjoy yours - it is great.

Stunning rep, with spectacular mods!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

My wife and I both have FM Conquistadors in our collection. Despite having no mods, and seeing action rarely, I am unlike to ever part ways with mine:

A very beautiful watch.

I own a Casablanca and I too feel that it is a classic.

Many of the older. rep FM's are VERY close copies of the gens.

The case and ss bracelets are close to perfect.

With your beautiful gen dial, you have a beautiful piece on your hands(wrist).

Like many of us, I mostly wear larger sport type watches, but for dress

the FM's a very cool watches. With the SS bracelets, a classic case and size

becomes 'Sporty'.

Wear it well.
