dcrooz Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Bit of a likely story, not enough pictures for me to tell, although others are more experienced and have a better eye for detail. If it is real it's a great deal! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROLEX-SUBMARINER-166...1QQcmdZViewItem
ubiquitous Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 regardless of the image, I wouldn't trust it...
dcrooz Posted July 16, 2006 Author Report Posted July 16, 2006 regardless of the image, I wouldn't trust it... Absolutely, although I always dream of finding a gen for that price!
www_watch Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Just some points: 1. No pic of the actual item. 2. Zero feedback. 3. "Found this watch in a bag..." 4. and best of all "I have been assured...... but I must warn you...." I suggest: Leave it where it is.
Pugwash Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Absolutely, although I always dream of finding a gen for that price! If you ever do, it will not be on FleaBay.
HighDef Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Bit of a likely story, not enough pictures for me to tell, although others are more experienced and have a better eye for detail. If it is real it's a great deal! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROLEX-SUBMARINER-166...1QQcmdZViewItem That pic is of a gen 16610. The actual watch you'll be getting might be different story. If you are interested, ask the seller for more info. Be carefull, I think I've seen that particular pic somewhere.
Category 5 Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 100% scam Regardless of the pictures...the description is 100% discalimer for the watch being indentified as fake. the seller has no feedback...no images of the watch...no paperowrk...and the bid price is too low. There is not a .00001% chance that this auction will result in the buyer receiveing a genuine Rolex. ...maybe not even a fake.
crystalcranium Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 (edited) Looks like some fool named "hoho" just bought it for about $1800. HaHa! With the scams that people get away with on ebay and that sites' complete disinterest with any kind of adequete policeing of its' transactions, the place is just a theives paradise.
