Noel Fleischer Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Just got the the new UN chrono, hopefully not too busy. overall look and feel is very good, not superrep like some Ferraris or Hublots IMO
robertk Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Great looking. Congratulations...wear it well!
RobbieG Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 So it doesn't have that completely over the top gen UN fit, finish and feel then after all Noel? not superrep like some Ferraris or Hublots IMO
fotoman Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 mine is in the mail - i assume the AR isn't great from the comments. have you tried on the gen - it doesn't have a great fit and feel either in my opinion the bracelet points to far straight out instead of tapering down - i mean teh gen.
Noel Fleischer Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 actually it fits fine. i never tried the gen however. i almost bought a gen 1846 a few months ago. i ended up with this instead. they're super expensive:
b16a2 Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Looks much better in your photo's than the ones on dealer websites! Is this a fantasy colour scheme I cant seem to find the gen counterpart anywhere?

Noel Fleischer Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 good question- i'm not sure why i don't feel its a 'superrep'. i guess little things like the clasp, bezel construction, etc. i'm not complaining either- i think it looks very nice. the dial is very good- its from the noob factory it turns out.

Noel Fleischer Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 i think king is also selling it . josh seems to provide alot of the gens for these '1:1' reps. it must get very expensive. i hope they put them back together after they dissect them!
Corgi Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 I think it looks really good; much better than how the website showcase pictures make it seem. I honestly thought it was a dog when I saw the cartel images but your wrist shots really bring out the unique effect of this watch. I would love to see some more pictures!
drop Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Thanks for the pics, looks pretty sweet on the wrist!
Samurai Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Nice....mate can you pls post some more pics?
RobbieG Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 http://www.prestigetime.com/item/Ulysse-Na...3-102-3~91.html Looks much better in your photo's than the ones on dealer websites! Is this a fantasy colour scheme I cant seem to find the gen counterpart anywhere?
b16a2 Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 http://www.prestigetime.com/item/Ulysse-Na...3-102-3~91.html Cheers Robbie, I looked at the first picture and thought it was the black version! The blue is a lot more subtle than in pics on the UN site and the dealers website!
Noel Fleischer Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 thanx guys for the comments- a few more crappy pix. btw- is imageshack the only thing that works here?
Noel Fleischer Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 yes- visually the watch is very accurate when you see the pix of the gen. that's definitely a Noob thing. the small details are alittle off- the main flaw IMO. again i think we have come a long way to have reps of these complicated watches so accurate out of the box.
Noel Fleischer Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 talk about those little things- already the bracelet came apart. lost a screw holding in the name plate! that's why i've really been bitching about the qc issues lately
Samurai Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 talk about those little things- already the bracelet came apart. lost a screw holding in the name plate! that's why i've really been bitching about the qc issues lately That really sucks man....
fotoman Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 see to be standard practice to suggest tightining all screws on new reps you don't hear that recomended much anymore
Francisco Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Noel, what about a picture of the movement? The gen has some parts painted on blue. Sorry for the screw. Francisco.
Noel Fleischer Posted January 5, 2009 Author Report Posted January 5, 2009 yep- the rotor is blue. looks pretty crappy to me. i don't care about casebacks personally. here's one of my famous LO-DEF pix
Francisco Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 yep- the rotor is blue. looks pretty crappy to me. i don't care about casebacks personally. here's one of my famous LO-DEF pix Thanks... Some other pieces must be blue... Francisco.
Nicholas Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Thanks for the pics. I ordered the Back the Red Bezel version. Too bad about the screws. I make it a regular practice to check all the fittings before wearing the watch. Mine should be here soon and I will get you some pics.
