Toadtorrent
That looks great. Where does one go to find somebody who can PVD stuff? What's the proper search in a phone book??
vric
That looks great. Where does one go to find somebody who can PVD stuff? What's the proper search in a phone book?? Ebay ! Got it from a German guy.. It's asian, but price was really good. Good quality (I striped it completely, cleaned and serviced it) it was already oiled correctly in most place. Only problem was the hour wheel. Too thin for the H3 pinion (so I took one for another movement) Thanks for comments

Thanks in advance for the answers... Look like real PVD yes.. it's plated everywhere (under parts, side etc.) I think it's good quality, but the finish before the coating isn't the best. So.. you get what you pay for.. this is an $120 Asian movement.. Can't have everything (better quality will run for $300 ++)

Knowing I was going for this project, I got it (for about $10 shipped ) I don't know who made it or where it come from. and what is it for?? To protect the movement.. Don't wear you watch without a case back.. Even more if it's automatic, the rotor get in the hair of the arm and it stop working Sorry, I don't understand your question Thanks to all for your comments!
