Guest overboosted Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Datewheel is still white. that's just the start of it just doesnt appeal to me yet.
ryaku Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 I'm afraid we'll hardly have a very accurate dial of that watch, not with a 7750 asian version at least. I like original planet ocean more.
doopey Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 that's just the start of it just doesnt appeal to me yet. Nope me either, still has the white date window and I guess the lug size is still 20mm.

dadog13 Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 the gen is a great watch..but the rep still doesn't give me that feeling...I'll wait for the improved version
vric Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 I will wait also. There is just no wow feeling on this rep... I kinda find the Quartz version better looking (might be pictures angles..)
2005SUBMARINER Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 that's just the start of it just doesnt appeal to me yet. i 2nd that
halley Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Never will be a correct rep, subdial spacing wil always be off? http://www.omegawatches.com/fileadmin/temp...ig/29185082.jpg
KB Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Ok call me slow but I just realised by looking at halley's pic of the gen that the date needs to be sitting so the bottom of the numbers are flush with the edge of the watch and not the side of the numbers as in the Pam196. Ken
robertk Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 Flaws and all, still very nice. No one is gonna spot them except us Wis's. I would love to see the black bezel version if there is one.

If spacing is the only flaw, I can live with that.
By-Tor Posted August 6, 2006 Author Report Posted August 6, 2006 The Sub Dials on Speedmaster Venus movement are wrong too, but considered an awesome rep. If spacing is the only flaw, I can live with that. I kinda agree, I think the rep isn't as bad as people say. We will never see this watch with correct subdial spacing, unless they do a "frozen" subdial version with non-working chronos. Same thing with the Broad Arrow and Schumacher. The white datewheel is still something that needs to be fixed. Hands are too short and thin (probably same hands that 4th Gens use). And just as we predicted the HE valve is too high now. But overall the dial finishing and everything else looks ok to me. If you're going to buy the rep the subdial spacing is something that you just need to live with. I don't think this is going to improve dramatically... sad but true. Here's Joshua's pics:
