i just tried thinkbacs idea of dssd bezel lume

i bought a gree lume powder

i scratched off the enamel paint mod i did on the insert

i placed i new paint and spread the lume powder

this is the result

sorry for the crappy pix, i only used my 9500 camfone and a sony digicam

it's very hard to shoot pix because the lume only last for a second on the camera

Actually makes you wonder why more dive watch manufacturers don't do lumed bezels.

I did a fair bit of cave diving in younger days, and a lumed bezel would have been a wonderful help.

i was looking for a blue lume

it was not available at any watch store, in fact they didn't even know it existed.

actually i just finished repainting my bezel white again

if ever i can find a blue lume, i'll do it again

Wow!

I wonder how many gen Rolex guys will pick up on this! I'd go with the blue lume, though I'm not sure which it would match better: the markers or the hands, though they may actually be the same color...

What lume did you use? I've read that some lume degrades when it comes in contact with water.

i really don't know what kind or brand it is.

i just bought it in a sachet.

also it doesn't lume that long.
