And had an epiphany while doing a pictoral for klocklind- I was already kind of bumming around the house a bit- And figured it would be fun to do a dial refinish on an old damaged dial I had. Lume aged: Stripped dial: Refinished: Test fit to see how it will look: And everything put together: Yes, there is a big thumbprint etched into the surface I discovered it as I stripped the old paint off, and to be honest, I kind of like it. It lends to the old, aged feel, and I suppose that it could be the signature of whomever made/pressed the dial tin. Not bad for a quickie... Folks from the old RWG and TRC will probably remember this one Here's a wrist shot... Strapped a Dirk on it and have to say I'm really enjoying it. I wanted the dial to look old, aged with patina and character. It's pretty hard to achieve this look artifically, but the dial turned out okay; I was (loosely) using this 3646 for inspiration: At any rate, thanks again for the kind words.
