  1. This is my first River 6154. The required look was old but cared for, not overly abused. Parts: River 6154 case set (softened and shaped slightly by me ) River stock crown, softened and aged. River stock rear plexi yellowed and aged. River front stock plexi aged slightly. Movement ring is modified from an Athaya moly ring for a silix 6154, needed to be sanded on the outside and height dropped. It has also been treated with a salt / lemon / vinegar bath to age it and some beautiful green patina formed. Athaya hands ( aged and lumed by me ) Athaya RP dial ( Painted by me ) Lumed with Cornholio's vintage lume. Molnija 3601 seconds trimmed ( cleaned and serviced by me ) (thanks Tanukjaju for the help and advice  ) I'm using a sanded and slightly thinned moly dial as a back plate for the dial to raise the stem a little. It's still got it's pins so it's locked in to place and the Athaya dial is attached with dial tabs.

  4. I've been through this on a number of cycling forums too.... UV transmission protection is an inherent property of polycarbonate. It would be expensive to make sunglasses that didn't give UV protection. I've also discussed this with my optician. The only thing she warned about with cheap glasses (rep or otherwise) was UV reflection from the back of the untreated lens. A good set of sunglasses will have a coating to prevent UV reflections. For me, and cycling glasses that fit close to my face, UV reflectance of the back of the glass isn't an issue but if I was wearing e.g. RB Aviators reflection would be more of an issue.

  5. Welcome to club of seconds at 6 daytona"s. I have one that runs perfect on the wrist, take it off it's dead within the hour. LOL Seconds at nine much more reliable. And really, can anyone see it running at nine when it's on your wrist, NO

  8. I guess I should include that from the other thread, makes more sense here: Bottom sides are nearly identical All bezel parts--bezels have the same style of construction (gen parts on bottom) However, rep bezel retaining ring has larger ID than gen bezel retaining ring. Will not work with gen-spec crystal gasket, it falls right off.

  10. Most Rolex Subs use the 2836-2 movement because that movement comes standard with a taller canon pin set than the 2824-2 and they just remove the day wheel. It gives more clearance for the hands on the dial markers. No big thing.

  12. I generally don't sell anything, but there are reps that I regret OTHER people selling... redwatch's Snowflake, for example. It would have been a lot less painful if I'd been the one to buy it!

  13. After further talks with my dialmaker, I've come to the conclusion that I will be able to release both non-date and date dials. That being said, the roster of dials I will begin to produce are as follows: No-date: -Rolex 1016 -Rolex 5513 -Rolex Comex 5514 (torresp, you won me over) Date: -Rolex 1665 drsd MK II -Rolex 1680 red MK III Several withstanding factors depend on the cost per dial, but it will DEFINITELY be in the sub $200 range. I also plan on adding dial finishing options including (but not limited to): cracklature and tropical finish.

  14. H factory and V6 factory both make Hublot watches. The H version sells in a higher price without known reason to me, and the V6 is the best so far regarding price VS quality.

  15. I added a bunch of cheaper (quartz) watches, pushing the list total to 1100+ I really wish PA had a better way to search for items. For example, they recently added a lot of new Ice Watch models. But only six out of sixty or so are listed as new. The rest are well hidden for some reason. If you have the direct link you can see them (even if not logged in) so it's not that type of hiding... Anyways, I think I have managed to add most of the new additions; the Ice Watch section now has more than 100 watches. I can't edit the first post in this thread, so remember that the list url has changed to https://sites.google...site/pareplicas
