  1. Got tracking number from Thomas just now, and its showing that it arrived in Helsinki on Friday 26th, so hopefully it will be at our local post office sometime today. Will update with photos, and brief impressions once collected, and admired

  2. Can't stop wearing this beauty, it keeps time to within 1 minute over 48 hrs, not bad for 100 years old!

  3. Hell, I can often be found wearing a pair of Checkered Van's (shoes), jeans and a T-Shirt sporting any number of high end watches. Including my GEN Rolex's. (In my 40's now, but I still wear Van's since I was 13!!!) Personal Style Statement - My wife loves it.

  4. The only generic 1530/60/70/75 parts available are train wheels, sweep second pinions, canon pinions, balance staffs, intermediate wheels for autowind assembly, mainsprings, jewels, standard screws, rotor axles, stems, date wheels etc. Search for 'generic rolex movement parts' to find them. Movement plates, pallet forks, balance wheels, escape wheels, mainspring barrels, reversers, hairsprings etc are not available. "A rolex is forever...or until you run out of parts."

  5. What's terrible about them? The coronet on my WM9 Sub is actually much sharper than the coronet on my gen 16710.

  6. Search for a post by Lanikai. He had this happen on a few. Sometimes all it takes is bumping the regulator on the balance a hair. -or if you are inclined get it serviced.

  7. I would recommend posting it to MD2020. He's over in Chicago and from what I've heard he's one of the best (with very reasonable prices as well). With a complete service your watch should run buttery smooth and accurate for several years to come making a service a worthwhile investment.

  8. Haha, even though I don't have many watches, I still believe you can't have too many. Or maybe you can, but you certainly can't have too many omegas. Why you say? It can always be answered by this 16 seconds long video clip:
