MBW cases pop up in the sales forums from time to time. You could also purchase an MBW (as a complete watch) from Reg over on RWI. He doesn't source individual parts, but he can grab you an MBW 5513.

what kind of watch/caseback? How much is it off....a few mins or more over 24 hours? I've been using motor city watch works..I would think for something simple like that should be fast turn a round....there is another that comes up a lot watch repair usa...seems like a fast turn a round. with a rubber ball to get the back off and a tooth pick,,,you can get the unitas within about 15 seconds a day... can always send it to me,...would be happy to give it a shot...

Nice one Arch, congrats! As for updates, almost lost interest. Seems another round of mayhem ensued and someone seriously dropped the ball on the production of the rep crystals. They apparently need to now go off and re make the crystals from scratch. CNY seems more likely for release, that is ensuring all goes smoothly from here!?

Of course it can. IMHO: SS watch, go for an SS bracelet, steer clear of any rubber straps. Gold watch, go for a brown strap, it will always be a classic combination.

Yeah that is largely my attitude as this is a fairly good/accurate rep. Unfortunately there was something major wrong with my first rep on the QC so I've had to reject it. Hopefully the next will be better! Enjoy all three mate

Not many choices for out of box 1675's I would keep and eye out in the sales forum for one that has been frankened. ceocorona just sold a really nice one, in the sales forum. You could post a want to buy as well.

I disagree. I think a divers watch can easily be used as a sporty dress watch. The suit can dress up a watch just as easily as a pair or shorts and a polo can dress the watch down. This of course is my personal opinion

Yes, as is non-hacking and non quick-set date. Those modern conveniences are a pain to live without, especially for daily wear. . I have two 6542s, one an ETA 2846 and the other a DG3804B. Both rum remarkably accurate. The ETA is non-hacking, but is the current mod with adjustable GMT hand and quick-set date. The DG is hacking, and all the rest. Both are slow-beat. I wear the DG daily. Everyone chooses for themselves just how realistic they want their watch to be. For me, I have no intent to sell my watches, or try to pass them off as genuine to anyone who asks (no one asks). And as I've said before, the only one who gets close enough to see if my watch is hacking, quick-set or GMT adjustable is not there to look at my watch. At that point thank goodness she is there for other reasons. It only matters to the owner of the watch.

The first crown/tube set you described is the 702 set(I could use the for the watch Ubi made me as I snapped mine off in the case....Doh!). Freddy's info is correct on the Brevet set and age. As well as the 6mm twin-lock and tube.
