  1. I've been at this point, went only gen watches and then came back to building. It's more fun to me than just owning the watch. To me it's about sourcing the parts, handpicking the parts that mate up together best and grow a bigger connection to the piece. It adds history to a watch imo..

  9. Trying to give all my wrist buddies their time in the daylight. This guy was a graduation gift from my parents nearly a decade ago. Still perfect. Never changed the battery - how beautiful is that?

  11. It is really sad that all it takes is a few bad actors to completely ruin the play. Probably 99% of us are nice and generous people, trying to enjoy a fun hobby together and share resources with each other. When this stuff happens it makes it more difficult to do that.

  12. The blue and red ones are currently $2,795 on Jomashop with stainless bracelet. With the leather strap it is $2,495. Bummer that this one also isn't on Jomashop. Wouldn't that be awesome? Like MoaB said, I bet in 6 months or so we will see this one here, too. Full 2 year warranty, serial #s, boxes, papers, and no sales tax. Free shipping, too.

  13. There is some counter intuitive aspect to the aging issue. I have not actually tried any steps yet myself (I will soon), but here's what I do know. Tritium turns lighter in sunlight and darkens/patinates in the dark. Therfore, a safe queen with little to no wear should actually have the most developed patina. But this is not what people do when they age their reps. They do the opposite. They age the case and bezel, making it look like it was beat up through years of use out in the sun, and they age the dial markers and hands with lots of patina. In reality, a watch with that much natural wear would have little patina on the lume. So to make a believable piece, you either need to age everything else and then keep the markers and hands creamy, or age those and keep the rest of the case clean and well cared for. This is the route I like. I take care of my belongings and there is no reason why any of my watches would be trashed.

  15. This is one of my biggest anticipation for my franken project. The cyclop is always the missing link for most of the frankens out there. Appreciate Legend's "stubbornness" to make it perfect! :-) Patiently waiting for your good news.

  16. Well, not to hijack this thread, BUT..... The QC photo of the movement clearly shows a problem. As the TD, you should have caught this as the watch clearly would not self-wind in that condition. We understand you need to control your costs, but we also do not want to spend our money on junk. Doing business half way around the world makes thorough quality checks all the more important! The hard truth is that sending watches back is a risky process and can easily result in you having our money and we having NOTHING. We would all like nothing better than smooth transactions, but to really be a TD, you have to act like it. I've purchased many watches from you myself and never had a problem. Now, I'm nervous because of this glaring issue and your response. All the risk is on the buyer!

  18. Easily raped? LOL!! LMFAO This is gorgeous but those snowflake hands still kind of bug me. In some respects they ruin what would otherwise be a beautiful design. As I stare at these pics on the website I'm torn. I still might get one someday. Are there other Tudor hands that would work with this? I don't care about warranty. I'd still swap them out.
