  1. 100% rep. As said, no Y Incabloc. Swan regulator shape where the screws are is another give away and look at the micro adjuster screw, it's too short, it's screwed all the way in and the regulator arm is only half way across its adjustment range. Repalicious!!

  3. photoshoot time been mostly off the forums for a second, life has gotten busy, but had some time to snap some pics of most recent acquisitions i had sold everything off during the summer, slowly gathering some pieces, trying not to hoard, but y'all know how that goes. all love, hate, criticism, corrections are welcome. the 16800 is my baby she was just finished in the fall, and she is the culmination of about 2 years of parts gathering all in all cost me about half the price of the gen but getting to pick the parts piece by piece and to my wishes is priceless all the credit goes to @dbane883 and @misiekped. those dudes are awesome, none of us know how lucky we really are to have them. old TC case with chamfers, lug holes, and casework per the master dbane gen bezel assembly unknown crystal gen matte dial gen hands gen insert gen open 6/9 datewheel gen crown and tube yuki 3135 serviced and upgraded with miskipied's magic need to get NZ to do some engravings and i may call her done. want an alternative dark blue/grey faded insert as well but haven't found the perfect one yet. the 6542 is a @Dlf build and is just breathtaking in person. that dudes work is absolutely insane, he is about as nice as his work is incredible, and he is really pushing the levels with his laser welding. the seadweller is the one i won on the raffle here but in august. i never win anything. contribute guys, it pays off without further ado.... the three kings 16800 the 6542 the sea dweller

  4. My Franken 114060LV It has been quite a while since I have posted anything on any forum but thought I would share my latest completed project. I started this one with the hopes of building a nice no date franken Submariner. The hardest step by far was finding the correct case to start the project. I knew that I wanted to use a Noob V6S case for the SA3135 movement and bracelet but finding one proved to be quite difficult. I was lucky enough to finally find one in very good condition. I was initially going to use a Yuki 3135 converted to a 3130 but found a genuine 3130 movement for a very reasonable price, so I jumped on it. I already had the hands so the next steps were finding and collecting the rest of the parts. I was almost finished with the project and was about to finish it when I was offered the chance to buy a genuine ceramic LV insert. I jumped on that one too and so my 114060LN quickly became a 114060LV. I know that there doesn't exist one coming out of the Rolex factory (yet), but have seen other genuine owners adding a black dial to their hulk's to make a 116610LV. But enough of my dribble.....here are some pics of the final product. One note I would add is that I would eventually like to add the genuine bezel, crystal retaining ring, and bezel ratcheting mechanism parts. Finding those is the challenge though.... Build List: Noob V6S midcase, bezel, and bracelet Preik display caseback Genuine dial Genuine hands Genuine crystal Genuine 3130 movement Genuine crown and tube Genuine green ceramic insert Genuine spring bars

  7. Never thought there'd be so much excitement over spring bars. Lol The bars come in packs of 10, so my suggestion would be to place orders in those increments so@sputim doesn't need to repackage. Anyhow good luck boys.

  13. My favourite TD for parts is WatchFinder, not a TD on here though. For watches, you can't beat Trevor on prices, same watches as all other TD's but cheaper. Also not a TD here sadly. Toro is great, so too is Chazingtime, Ken. The latter not a TD here. Most new members, or new people to the rep world order from Andrew at TrustyTime, more expensive but for a first timer peace of mind, he suits the bill.

  16. Ronin, see the gen 703 on the left? Look closely and you can see thin stainless steel wrapped over a brass core. It's visible on the edge that would be closest to the case, where the tiny folds overlap. Only gen crowns are made like this, 700 - 702 - 703. The 704 is "monobloc" so it's carved from one piece of steel, hence no need for steel wrap over a brass core. It also has much thinner walls than a 703. MBW "703" crowns have nice thick walls, just like the middle one in your photo. Hint: They're great raw material for using a dremel and file to put a bevel on the case side and mimic a 702. So IMO you have, left to right, gen 703, MBW 703 and gen 704.

  17. "Seems to me we have some seriously nice gentlemen here too" In the words of that other place, I fixed that for you. I came for the watches, but I'm logged in every day for the people.

  19. The 'slo-mo' 18kbph 2451 Etas are fine movements. I have one in a 20 year old BB project watch, c/o one time in 20 years, still runs like a top. http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&0&2uswk&ETA_2451

  21. For something a little more unusual... I've never seen another one like this, it's a Wakmann/Gigandet AOPA triple date. Not quite a Breitling Top Time, but it fills a gap in the Wakmann / AOPA / Breitling / Top Time / Navitimer sequence.

  22. I believe that the best course for you would be to either buy a new one from a Dealer, or hang around the sales forums as they come up for sale on occasion. The DSSD was a really "hot" watch a few years back when it first came out, but I really don't hear much about it any more. I had two over about a 2 year period from back in 2009. They are nice watches, however I found them to be somewhat top heavy, and thus they had a tendency to try to "turn Turtle" on my wrist. both of mine were sold relatively quickly, although I kept one for a while, because I had it relumed, movement serviced and the HEV sealed. Some of the old ones had Helium Escape valves that were made incorrectly, and they opened from outside pressure rather than inside pressure, these were prone to flooding in you went swimming or snorkeling with them. Buy one, try it for size, and if you like it, you can then decide how far you want to go with modding. When you start adding parts especially genuine Rolex parts, the costs can go through the roof pretty quickly!!
