  1. Okay... First off, I apologize for the very crude, sloppy pics, but I snapped these in a hurry... 570 with an oversized 130; both are about the same diameter (~35mm/36mm): 16622 with the 130: 16234 with the 130: Trio:

  2. Totally agree, 36mm is gentleman size. Discrete, fits well under a suit and shirt, elegant.

  4. Guys! I have both. I have TC's insert and I have a gen. I can tell this; if not for the scratch I have on the gen, it would be indistinguishable from TC's. Yes, it's that good! If there are those that put them both under a spectrometer or some other fancy machine to lull the difference on a micron scale of color or size; I'd say get a fracking life. Because your sorry human eye cannot tell the freaking difference anyway! Geez! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Exactly. 36/37mm speak for themselves, but never shout.

  8. So I'll wear it a little while and then send it to our foremost Alaskan modder for a little gentle case and dial ageing.

  9. Curious to hear about its power reserve! Not an expert here, but that balance bridge resembles the P3000's clone ones... Since the The GEN P4000's are 72h, would be awesome if we were looking at an auto version of the P3000 clone, wouldn't it

  10. Thanks, gang! Anymore... 36mm just feels right for me. Every so often, I'll enjoy the 201/A or 3646, but the smaller size just feels more comfortable on the wrist!

  11. It sounds nice! My missus is one of my QC people and she says it looks great and disappears at angle as you'd expect. Think I might go for one, just want to wait a bit to see if they fix the crown issue, if they do that it's a keeper for sure! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

  14. As no rep has truly perfected the text color yet alone the gen green insert color I would bet that the new JF insert may be very nice but would still be off when compared to the gen insert. That would as always be a personal decision. I am happy with the noob v7 dssd insert and don't feel like dropping big dollars for the gen, but if it were in the 100-200 range like the 16610 inserts are then yes I would. Hope that makes sense. 17. "Hey guys can anyone chime in and tell me what kind of movement this is?" The base movement is a Seagull ST16. The movement with the red wheel is a basic Miyota clone, could be made by Nanning, DG etc. The Seagull ST16 is probably at the top of the '21 jewel' pecking order. It is also the base movement for the 'swiss made' Claro-Seamag CL-888. http://www.watchfreeks.com/115-watch-movements/3864-claro-semag-cl-888-a.html "...are all 21j's Asian?" On this forum, yes, it is a generic term. There are many swiss and japan made 21 jewel movements though.

  19. Looks a lot more accurate based on the thickness of the font alone. The TC insert is the best aftermarket insert available.

  22. http://www.chrono24.com/audemarspiguet/royal-oak-offshore-navy-blue-mens-chronograph-42mm--id4927542.htm It is based on a real model as the link I've posted shows. Replicas are never A++++ Swiss made, indistinguishable from genuine no matter what anyone tries to tell you. They all have slight differences and knowing them, understanding them and working to fix them can become both very satisfying and deeply annoying. Examine the two links, open them in separate windows and see what differences you can spot. The date window is in a slightly different position and the hands are slightly different. In the end it comes down to what you can accept and what you can not tolerate. It would be be worth doing some reading of threads in the AP section. Some of the guys have built amazing frankens using genuine dials, hands, crystal and different movements, but the cost can get eye watering.

  24. You are unlikely to get a sensible answer, because unfortunately there isn't really a definitive answer. There are some decent reps of six digit Rolex models and the TC sub and Yachtmaster for the older models. The BP 166600 is very reasonable. In the end so much is subjective and depends on the individuals taste and budget. Head over to the Rolex forum and do some reading. You are spending your money, so the only important opinion is your own.
