  2. It's a sad sad world we live in now. Unfortunately if there is one thing the Irish conflict taught us it's that there is no easy fix. I still think everyone should just get out of the Middle East and let them sort their own problems. Ken

  3. I'm afraid to late for that now Ken the enemy is in our homelands we stupidly let them in,the map draw after WW I lead to this. The genie has been out of the bottle for a long.... time. And no ,no easy fix not by a long shot.

  4. Yes terrible my prayers are with you, these type of cowardly attacks are almost impossible to defend against. I fear these thugs may unleash a response not to their liking, the British are most understandably fed up.

  5. Agree sir, I just read about the attacks. Hopefully the perpetrators will be caught or shot quickly. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the innocent folks who were out having a nice peaceful Saturday evening and were caught up in this cowardly act of wanton violence. My thoughts after reading this was how this would play out down here where I live. A whole lot of folks have concealed carry permits and are packing all the time. Those guys with knives would have been in for a really unpleasant surprise. The old adage, "never bring a knife to a gunfight"!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  6. 42mm is the exact size of the original 5218-301/A Mare Nostrum, 5218-302 Slytech Mare Nostrum and 5218-304 Slytech Mare Nostrum (bezel without graduation). It's a re-edition to the original Pre-V MN with same caliber ETA 2801-2 fitted with a Dubois-Dèpraz chronograph module, I don't see why they would have changed the size. For once a re-edition is exactly similar! I think there are already enough choices in bigger size from Panerai. Who has already been able to wear a PAM300 (52mm) without his table neighbor saying "WAOU you can attach a clock on your wrist?" PAM716 is a good marketing stunt for Panerai, but be aware that this wasn't a very good deal at the time for OP S.p.A, they have long been stocked and 435 unsold were transferred to Vendome group in 1997. 1000 Mare Nostrum 301/A were manufactured by OP S.p.A (990 + 10 prototype), on this 1000 MN, 489 was sold by OP S.p.A, 397 transferred to the Vendome Group, 100 used to make Slytech watches, 7 given as prizes, 3 gifted to Com.Sub.In, 2 sold to MM, 2 given to MM and on the 100 Slytech 31 MN302 sol by OP S.p.A, 19 MN302 transferred to the Vendome Group - same number for MN304. I like this Panerai, it's an atypical Panerai but it has charm and is unique. But sincerely I find it stupid to buy a re-edition at 10,000 € while looking for a bit we find the original pre-V MN with mahogany box, Pre-V screwdriver, original strap and libretto at 12,000€ !

  11. Relax sput I had the same issue. I wouldn't use pliers anywhere on my watch....might leave a nasty scratch All you have to do is screw the stem out as far as possible. Then place the valve cap on and lightly screw it back onto the stem...its tedious but be patient it will work. If necessary to prevent stem from turning hold it with tweezers. Good luck!
