  1. Vintage 5513 Submariner A slightly different take Hello gents, what I am presenting tonight is my latest 5513 build. I was inspired by the dial to give the watch a very worn look, with some heavier than usual marks and scuffs. A real heavy duty watch. Non-matching hands are reasonably common in the vintage Panerai world, while they are quite rare if not non existent in the Rolex world. I thohght they were looking just right in this build. What do you think? Here is the parts list: - Cartel donor watch reshaped, aged and polished. Lugs drilled for 2mm springbars - Sternkreuz low dome T19 plexi - Cartel insert faded to almost ghost, no pearl - Vietnam dial with dark mustard markers, beautiful unique dial - JK hands relumed and aged - Strap made by an italian strapmaker found on ebay Some more pics: Hope you enjoyed the reading and pics

  2. Hi guys, once the summer/ spring vibes are getting in, I tend to buy a rubber strapped watch every season. Last year I had to get the blue rubber strapped Avenger II GMT. I still have this piece above but I recently saw the new launched Superocean Blacksteel. A bit more badass looking so... here it is! The nearly 3 days shipping time nowaydays is a party! The deal was smooth as always thanks to Andrew from Trustytime. He never let me down in the last 10+ years. Thumbs up! Some specs from Trustytime: Link to watch: BSW0355 - SuperOcean 44 BlackSteel DLC/RU Blk/Stk GF Asia 2824 [bSW0355] - $368.00 : Trusty Time Online Store, Your Trusty Watch Shop GF Factory Top Edition Superocean 44 BlackSteel Limited Edition MOVEMENT: Nickel Plated Asia 2824-2 Automatic, 28800bph with Decorated Rotor CASE DIAMETER: 44mm THICKNESS: 15mm DIAL COLOR: Black Dial with Thick Lume Markers (With Swiss Grade SuperLume applied) CASE MATERIAL: High Grade DLC Coating on Solid Stainless Steel 316F **Working HE Valve at the side of case BRACELET: High Grade Rubber Strap Ocean Style with Double Tang Buckle FRONT GLASS: Sapphire Crystal with AR Coat (Swiss Grade) CASE BACK: Solid case back with detailed engraving BEZEL: Uni-Directional High Quality Ceramic Bezel HACK MOVEMENT: Yes CLASP TYPE: Double Tang Buckle DATE INDICATOR: At 3:00 position (Adjusted via crown) - Date Font 1:1 like Genuine OTHER REMARKS: Waterproofed to 30m direct from Factory Case: First thing I noticed was the 100% superb smooth DLC'd case. It seems the HE valva is also actually working on this modell which is pretty unique if you ask me. The factory did a great job on that. Really worth mentioning. Bezel: The bezel has a satin/matte/ brushed kinda finish which pops out strongly, I love the combination of the two different finishings. The numbers in the bezel are also very crisp. Dial: The dial finish is really on a high level. To be honnest these GF watches are extremely close to GEN and the watch does give you this GEN feeling when handeling. What also caught my eye is the extreme smooth sweeping of the second hand. None of my watches are running that smooth and steady. Also the dial pops out very nice due to the strong AR'd crystall. Strap: Butter soft with nice details like the holes and the text "Breitling'' on the back, Also I like these type of clasps! For the BR nitpickers, the datewheel is not sunken so you guys will love that. I am impressed with the overall quality factories nowadays are producing. The difference between REP and GEN are getting extremely close these days. I am happy with this all black summer watch... It looks sporty. 100% satisfied! ONCE YOU GO BLACK, YOU...... TELL ME! Enjoy the pics I took. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk

  3. Sorry bro that you trusted TheSociety, he is full of [censored]... Claimed to have his own source for case and dial which is a major lie, he even claimed to have his dial maker re-done the black Singer prototype which was made by Jensen. I was the one ordering the dial to Jensen which made 2 of them, and then the Society said he had to have it redone as it wasn't purple enought... Ahahaha what a lie. He even sold me an NDT 6263 case for $900 claiming it was a Phong case. Glad you like your watch, it's a beautiful watch, too bad you over paid for it

  5. TC V7X LV with YUKI 3135 and gen auto wind module. Gen crystal, Gen DW, Gen Hands, Gen crown on WSO gen spec tube which will not fit this case without modification. The TC V7X is great in every way except for the internal design which is totally stupid as it makes it near impossible to install a gen or Yuki movement. There are two cutouts on the inside of the case near 7 and 2 which are where the mounting screws go for the movement, a genuine case has one cutout at 9. It's almost as if someone intentionally made this case so a gen movement would not fit. However a very good watchmaker can make it fit.

  7. I think the 'misalignment' you see is due either to parallax or camera angle. Still, what I am referring to is the centering of the coronet over the word ROLEX. I have never seen a genuine Daytona where this alignment is uneven when viewed dead-on. Rolex would never let something like that leave the factory & certainly no Rolex customer would accept it.
