You don't have the let the power down to repair the keyless works. Movement out, hands and dial off. Away you go. Top Tip: release tension from any part before removing the screw that secures it. You can loosen screws just a little to assist with this.

Hi Snaker, welcome to the friendliest forum, some of the other ones like to shoot new members down for the fun of it. We have all previously been in your position, mine was back in 2008!! . My suggestion is that you have a look at our trusted 'collectors' forum and decide what works for you best. I have personally always used Andrew at trusty time or Josh at perfect clones, they are collectively known as The Cartel if your searching the forums and come across the term.
