Franken Tudor 9411 for tuesday for me as well

First I would like to thank the members who sent me so many nice PM's about my 5500 post in this forum. I had PMs asking me details about the 5513 pictured in that post, so I figured I should make a new post to share some pictures of that watch. I think the Submariner is a fascinating watch design wise: it had nothing to be a collectible, and yet it became one of those watches most afficionados have to own. Why? It isn't rare, it came out as a rather cheap tool watch, it has a very commun movement that can be found in the less desirable models Rolex has made.... But it's been fourty years we all love it !!! That crave most of us have for this particular model makes it an icon. I hope my pictures will please you as much as the pictures of the Explorer I. Cheers !!!

Yes, i finally didi it for the first time!!! I repaired my broken laundry machine with my own bare hands!!! and my girlfriend thinks i'm very sexy having done it! and she just got me a cold beer. (true story, but the beer, i 'ill get it myself in 5 min....isn't there always a point when you start dreaming?! ) I know, pointless story, but i had to mark it somewhere for the eternity! i should get myself a present...hm let's think.....what could i buy? a Blancpain? A Navitimer? Another Tudor because the one i bought got lost in the mail (grrrr)? Manhood here i am!

Im a newbie but from what Ive read in other posts the Swiss movt is not worth it, and there wouldn't be much if any difference since both movts are modified for GMT = it would not be a genuine Swiss movt.

Good points on both sides.... i suppose it depends on the lady in question.... for instance my missus wouldn't dream of going in to an AD's to get the watch repaired/new battery.... she would always , like most things...get me to do it everytime....lol. As far as the guilt factor goes...well, iv'e been married 20 years... nuff said... As Gavilan says.. as long as it looks good on the outside... then happy days... I'm happy to pay high end for quality.. question is are there any about?...Most iv'e seen are $170-$300 tops...
