Least ways if the football isn't entertaining there's a fair chance that wee Craig Bellamy and John Arne Riise will continue their spat on the pitch and kick lumps out of one another.

If you see them take the pitch with a couple of short irons and a putter or two.........then we're in for a good night.

    C'mon the 'Pool. (sorry Alan)

Let's not forget Ronaldinho and Eto'o's "relationship" eh JTB? All is not happy in Camp Barca...

Just a jolly little jape by me my friend. However whilst on the subject...Eto's loss could be significant in the grand scheme of things. They're not the same force without him..............and I'm betting they are now regretting letting wee HL go as well. ;)

  2. Geeze Doc, Am I still in this?

You are indeed Alan. Barcelona play Liverpool in the first leg of their tie tonight. Should be a good game too.

Whilst the 'tic were disappointing last night, we didn't concede a goal and are still in the competition. Roll on the San Siro.

  3. A young man called Ron wanted to buy his new girlfriend a Christmas present.

As they hadn't been seeing each other for very long he decided, after

careful consideration, that a pair of gloves would strike the right note,

not too intimate but yet thoughtful and considerate.

He went with his girlfriend's sister to Harrods and bought a daintypair of

white fur-lined gloves. Whilst in the ladies clothing department the sister

purchased a pair of knickers for herself at the same time.

During the wrapping the shop assistant mixed up the two items.

The sister took away the package containing the gloves and Ron got the

    knickers.

Without checking Ron sealed the package and sent it to his new girlfriend to

    arrive in time for Christmas.

In the card that accompanied the package he lovingly wrote the following

    message........................

    Dear Pat,

I chose these because I've noticed that you are not wearing any

when we go out in the evenings. If it had not been for your sister I would

have chosen the long ones with buttons, but she wears shorter ones which are

easier to remove. I appreciate that these are a very delicate shade, but the

lady I bought them from showed me the pair she had been wearing for the past

three weeks and they were hardly soiled at all.

I had her try yours on for me and she looked really smart in them even

though they were a little bit tight on her.

She also said that they rub her ring which helps keep it clean and shiny. In

fact she hasn't needed to clean it since she began wearing them.

I wish I was there to put them on for you for the first time, as no doubt

many other hands will touch them before I have a chance to see you again.

When you take them off remember to blow into them a little bit because they

will be naturally a little damp from wearing. Just think how many times my

lips will kiss them during the coming year.

I hope you will wear them for me on Friday night.

    All my love

    Ron

p.s. Your sister advises that the latest style is to wear them folded down

    with a little fur showing.

  4. The hour is nigh. Come on the Hoops!

Hail Hail, the Celts are here,

What the hell do we care,

What the hell do we care,

Hail Hail, the Celts are here,

What the hell do we care now...

For it's a grand old team to play for,

For it's a grand old team to see,

And if you know the history,

Its enough to make your heart go,

    Di-de-da-ra,

We don't care what the animals say,

What the hell do we care,

    For we only know,

That there's gonna be a show,

And the Glasgow Celtic will be there.

Sure it's the best darn team in Scotland

and the players they are grand,

    We support the Celtic

'cos they are the finest in the land we love them.

We'll be there to give the Bhoys a cheer

    When the league flag flies,

And the cheers go up 'cos we know the Scottish Cup

is coming home to rest at Paradise.

  5. .......And I took my youngest daughter to Hot Fuzz...........which is [censored] btw! Well......maybe not totally [censored]............but a lot [censored]. In fact I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Barry Norman I'm not but I hope you get the message.

  6. I stopped! It was them!

Appreciate that. God knows I've tried hard to bring an end to this circus. I've woken up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat wondering if anyone is posting in here and sticking two fingers up to those, like you and I, who have nothing but the interests of the board at heart.

No-one else will do it. No-one else can care enough. It's all getting too much and I don't know if I can carry on.............

  7. This is extremely disappointing. I go away for a couple of days and discover that some seasoned and respected members (even a moderator or three!) are engaging in mindless empty verbiage in an effort to elongate the lifespan of this otherwise useless thread.

Please desist now. It does you no favours to continue with this fiasco.

  8. A photo taken today after we took the formwork off the sole foundation. :)

It's nice to see a litt progress every day, as this is basically what I am doing on the house myself.

After we're done with the foundation and the block walls, I'm letting the carpenters move in (not the musical family) and do their stuff.

After that, I'm not doing much before we start lining and decorating the interior.

Good stuff. Looks a nice tidy strike on the forms.

You've only just begun and it's going to take some time but when you're finished, you'll be on the top of the world. :whistling:

  9. nice.

    here's one i know you'll like!!

She said I'll see you in the morning, darling

I see you when the kids have gone to school

But well I know tomorrow is your birthday

I know you know that you're are an April Fool

We used to roam so freely. It's been so long

I took my dreams to bed now where they belong

She said there's dust and cobwebs on your north star

There no more fussing the campfires in your hair

I'll see the wheels there rusted in the backyard

I know we're not going anywhere

We used to roam so freely. It's been so long

I took my dreams to bed now where they belong

Indeed........he is sorely sorely missed. As well as a fabulous songwriter he was a lovely man.

    Thanks for the memory.
