  3. I don't think I'd be contacting anyone. You know nothing about any watch. JTB
  4. 15mm taps are the standard size in the UK for wash hand basins. We also have both formats of duel taps and mixer taps. Duel taps are easier to maintain and less costly to replace. On a side note, I know Ken was joking but in this country conservation has always been an important issue and I personally don’t see the need for drawing off more quantities than is absolutely necessary especially when we have the best natural water in the world.........bar none. Clubs need a special entertainments license in order to have extended licensing hours. Obviously they should be providing the entertainment which is stated on the license (disco/caberet ets.) Ordinary pubs must strictly abide by the opening hours laid done by the local authority and under the national licensing laws. Only special units of our Police force are armed and are only called upon if the need arises. Ordinary police do not carry guns. I am quite happy that it stays this way. The threat of a ‘Glesca kiss’ usually is a good deterrent. On another day I might consider this an insult but today I’ll just put it down to ignorance. For example the Argyll accent and dialect is considered by many scholars to be the perfect linguistic vehicle for the spoken English word. There are many accents and dialects in this fine country of ours and I can only imagine that you are referring to the Glasgow slang. For more information on Glasgow patter go here: http://www.rampantscotland.com/parliamo/blparliamo_index.htm JTB

  7. The point the guys were trying to make in their own sweet flippant way Cameron, is that this question gets asked time and time and time again without newbies being prepared to do a bit of research on their own. If I had a dollar for every new member we had who came, got the rep he wanted, and then disappeared off the face of the planet, I'd have a lot of dollars. We all had to do our own research when we joined this place and you my friend should be no different. For the record no-one knows who has the best rep. The quality and flaws vary from rep to rep and dealer to dealer. There are however some bloody good ones out there, so go find. It's part of the fun of it anyway. Welcome. JTB
  8. They have been provided with an area to do just that for some time now. Sorry to hear this Neil. Quite frankly all dealers should be adopting the policy that you are now having to enforce. JTB

  12. Me?............I'm drinking cheap brandy and having a night off and on so to speak. When the brandy kicks in I might, just might get my moderators light sabre out. "Can you fool the force look" JTB
  13. I have to admit I can be lazy with this. I'm used to getting excellent service from all the dealers and so I tend to get a bit complacent with writing reviews but your point is a good one. I would encourage all members to post reviews - good or bad. It helps the membership as a whole and presumably the dealers can learn something as well. JTB
  14. RWG calling Nanuq. Come in please! JTB
  15. FM have been pioneers over the years in the tourbillon market but I'm not sure they ever developed a GMT tourbillon which this effort is supposed to replicate. In any event the finish of this is very cheap looking. The face shape is not the usual FM style. The fonts are wrong and the tourbillon is of the faux variety. JTB
