It would seem a waste for Jay to buy an aquatimer just to have one come out anyway.

Interesting the way the genuine caseback crystal extends far beyond the actual movement, showing the spacer ring (and, most interestingly, the crown stem, which is pretty damn ugly)... i almost wish they did the rep of the solid back special edition with the map of the mille miglia on it...

I figured as much with Alinghi Polaris... I don't know if there's another Alinghi model that would work... I agree that the Safari would be incredible. I assume the strap would be crap, have to replace with something from Simona or elsewhere... Personally I really prefer the ROO on a strap, it makes it a lot more under-the-radar...

I'm hoping for an Alinghi Polaris dial... is this the right case for it? A safari dial would be nice too, and Worth Ave. with the yellow numerals is also cool...

RWI can suck a D, IMO. I've never much cared for the atmosphere over there, and this sort of retarded action does nothing to reverse my opinion. It's a regrettable state of affairs that an honest dealer gets banned from there, yet they welcome a proven assholE as one of their central characters.
