  1. Tried this once -- you need to re-ream the pusher holes, as they don't line up properly.
  2. I think this has the new datewheel/cyclops that we saw on the new version Arktos so probably no need for the cyclops or datewheel -- gen crown and a relume and I think one would be all set. Speaking of gen crowns... are they still available?
  3. Looks like the updated 44mm PAM autos are out.
  4. As stated before, i'd kill for a modern Blancpain FF. I've inquired with Josh about the 2007 model 45 mm Radiomir Chrono (PAM 288) -- he said it wasn't going to happen. Shame, it's a beauty, rather simple to make... although it doesn't seem to have even surfaced in boutiques yet!
  5. Wow. I half want to pick up a Portuguese and have it ARed... if only the seconds at 6 was more trustworthy... this is gorgeous, though.
  6. It really says Hos? Does the 6 say Pimps?

didn't Hublot hire genta to design their next watch? If so ... hiring the man whose design you ape (RO)... All hail the Hubloak!
  8. Dial texture seems a bit light; date depth is off too. probably the source of the 'cheap' feel
  9. You should sell them. To me. For $50 each. They're really crap watches, i'm giving you a deal at that price.
  10. the blancpain is absolutely gorgeous. i looove it.
  11. I assume no AR on this puppy...
  12. No Flash = no AIM/Yahoo/MSN? I call BS. iphone.beejive.com -or- load meebo.com from the iphone... The real reason behind no flash is that no SDK exists, and it's a completely new architecture (OS X/ARM CPU). The existing OS X flash codebase for PPC/x86 performs miserably and sucks CPU (which on a mobile device = sucks battery.) Rather than reverse engineer flash, i assume that a true flash plugin will come in the february timeframe when the real SDK comes out.
  13. It's a real, single person? I always figured it was a team of people trying to liven up the forum by posting constantly under a female persona to get the boys in a tizzy... Miss Understood to the next level... Oh well. who knew...
  14. i would *love* a royal oak wempe or boutique diver on rubber.
  15. me too. this should be a no brainer -- 7750, solid caseback on a black seal case with some pushers... dial is really simple too (just hope they get the tick marks right and the recessed subdials... handset is from a 212 probably...
  16. What's the lug width on this one? 22mm?
  17. This E movement is by far the closest visually of any Unitas PAM movement. I wonder if it would be available in other models?
  18. the carbon bezel and case will never be done. no way.
  19. Oh Gran...... from the ETA press release on the introduction of Valgranges: From Valjoux to Valgranges A select origin entails a special obligation for excellence. The Valgranges calibre is indeed of high-ranking birth. Its name shows at a glance that it was conceived along the lines of the famous Valjoux calibre. Designed in 1973 in the Vall
  20. The 7750 in the Chopard XL was billed as a Valgranges copy. Isn't the Valgranges just a 7750 with a bigger diameter and larger datewheel and the chrono functions removed?
  21. Gotcha. I have the 78360/580 end links on it right now and would like to go a little more vintage to match the amount of case wear -- guess the rivet 7836/380 is the way to go -- Any idea until which year the rivets were fitted? Any thoughts on where to get the best rivet bracelet?
