  1. Now we only have to wait until someone starts into making reasonably good dials and then we can build that super ultra ultimate high-end rep. No more super or ultimate or best versions, just good parts and basic rep watches to start a project. I really hope that this keeps giong on so the replacement parts collection for weak detailed parts on the standard reps keeps growing.
  2. A 44mm PAM does not wear that extremely big. I love wearing them but I can
  3. The gears are not the only parts that are different. Obviously it is the balance wheel as well as the frequency is defined by that part. So the only parts that are the same are pallet fork and the matching wheel. Changing a movement to a high beat version means rebuilding the whole movement only leaving the bridges. And if the jewels are different dimensions you can
  4. If using superglue/Cyanacrylate glue you should wax the pin before fixing it. That should prevent the pin from getting stuck.
  5. Lots of science on turkish mocca! Thank you! For me, the best way to drink a turkish coffee is with a glass of raki next to it. The fine flavor of the coffee goes extremely well with the anise.
  6. How about a final telefone contact within the desing team? t, chefcook, Tom Hawkes, would you like to to that? Everything within Germany I guess we can keep costs under control for that. Just PM me with a number and a time when I can call you.
  7. You allready developed some decent talent of latte art. Respect! You got an espresso machine with a Faema E61 brewing unit? Obvoiusly your machine does have good hot dry steam. I got a fully automatic Jura at home so my possibilities are limited to finding the correct setup with temperature and fineness of grinding for a good coffee. My milk foam is rather good for a fully automatic unit but by far not good enough for doing what you do with it. What
  8. Good job, Tom Hawkes! Now I found my better caseback opener and got the missing dimensions for the crown shaft. Tube outside diameter is 4,5mm, inside is 2,15 We got 2,5mm of way from the outside surface of the crown to inside the case so th max. stem length is defined by that. Since the tube bore goes through in the same size all the way we could extend the crown shaft up to 0,25mm inside the case, the thread length of the stem allows that. The gasket inside my crown is 3,3x1,8x0,5. My crown stem is 1,8mm thick. Conclusions: We should make the ditch 4,8mm wide. The rim around the ditch could be even 0,6mm thick as the outer diameter of that rim is 6mm at the gen crown. The crown shaft that will take the thread for the movement stem is supposed to be 3,25mm long (from the backside of the crown as reference point) The thickness of the stem shaft should by no means exceed 1,95mm. I
  9. It has the V-shaped notch at the incabloc unit on the balance wheel, correctly positioned towards the dagger. The crown guard obviously has been removed for servicing had was re-installed a bit out of alignment, but CG and crown look good. The flat polished cannon pin does
  10. Nothing wrong with a gun in the hands of a relaxed and well trained person with a good sense of resposibility. The problem with guns is rather that not everybody would do it as correct as you did. Good job!
  11. We allready considered the o-rings and whe think they should be there. The spring mechanism won
  12. 24/22 means that the strap is tapered from 24 at the lug ends to 22 at the buckle to fit a thumbnail buckle. The Pre-V buckle usually has 24mm so that would be 24/24. The straps with sewn-in buckle usually come in 24/24 as well.
  13. Sorry to contradict you my friend, but it is the CG. The lever is "Sperrhebel"
  14. I guess chefcook will have the 2D-plans with dimensions done and ready for corrections for this piece in a few days regarding what he did so far... What would you need? A program for a CNC manufacturing unit? I am a little out of training with these things and I don
  15. One additional idea: We could go up with the crown thickness to 1,98 so we can get the recessed area at the outside to 1mm depth or we go to 1,97 and get a depth of 0,9. This would allow to get as close as possible to the appearance of the gen part. Edit wegen Denkfehler: Wenn wir die innere Seite als Bezugsebene w
  16. So you suggest to do a complete set with crown and tube? Well, that would do as well, but swapping the crown is one thing, replacing the tube is another. So doing this project would be impossible for most of us without paying a pro modder for swapping the tube. With related expenses and shipping/customs risk this would keep a lot of people away from taking this project and making use of t
