I recently bought the black dial version from Angus along with a leather strap. The white dial version looks not as white as it should be. Lack of AR and the movement is not 28k are the only flaws I noticed. The graduations on the bezel are a little off as well. Well made, the bracelet is amazing comfortable! I will be posting some pics soon.

That is a flaw that would be hard to get used to, I would request a replacement dial. Best of luck.

My limit is $300. Anything over that is just silly. It looks like everytime a new model is introduced they push the limit even further. As long as there are people willing to pay those prices this will never stop.

Silix sent me a Sub with defective lug holes and bad bezel. I asked him to send replacement case and bezel, no problem. Any decent dealer will compensate you in some form.

This rep buisness is a gamble. I have had 7 out of 9 reps arrive with flaws or defects. Most of the issues I had were bracelet related. Luckily all the movements work fine and the dealers I dealt with sent me replacement bracelets. The two watches that arrived in perfect condition was a Speedmaster day date from Andrew and a Chopard GMT chrono from Angus. The quality of some of these bracelets is pretty bad in stark contrast to the cases which are beautifully finished.

I was thinking the same thing a few days ago! I would love to get a moon speedy or planet ocean chrono but the sub dial spacing always bothered me. It is a shame they don't have a solution like they do for the Daytona. Imagine how many speedmasters they could sell if they corrected this.

Andrew will make it right. You just have to be persistant. So far he has addressed all issues with reps I ordered from him.

Go for the gen! It will hold resale value and will last you many years.

Go for the Montblanc! I have the chrono and I love it. The biggest problem I had was choosing the dial color! Omegaunit

I find the white dial easier to read than the black one! Both Speedmasters I own have no AR and with the domed crystal makes them hard to see. The white dial is sharp though. Omegaunit

Based on Sub dial spacing real or fake? This guy sells a lot of these on the Bay.

No problems as of yet! It is definitely worth the money with all the complications it has. I have the white and black dial versions, the black one is hard to see because of reflections as mentioned earlier. I used the chrono alot and it has been flawless. AR on the crystal would help the black dial version, too much reflection from the domed crystal. Adjusting the band was a pain! The pins are really stuck in there.
