  1. Congratulations. May I ask where the bracelet is from ?
  2. Not worth the effort. Prices for high-end stuff (if you manage to find it) are likely to be more than from our dealers. Even in Guangzhou you would be hard pressed to find a high-end bargain. I worked in Beijing for a couple of years and I would say if you don't speak Chinese better concentrate on the cultural aspects. There are places where you can pick up clothing factory seconds or stuff that "fell of the truck", but these are targeted at Chinese re-sellers. If you are looking for electronics it might be worth to have a look at Zhong Guan Zun. Always make sure to know what you are looking for.
  3. How about you made the plates available for the public? Sourcing the movements, shock assembly and installation could be done by the buyer or moder of choice.
  4. Wonder if Simon can produce a dial for this ? Than jacobs caseback. Avit DLC and Bob's your uncle...
  5. Can't wait for these to materialize. I am in for 2 case sets.
  6. Yes, bracelets are new and now at correct 24/20.
  7. Pretty much nothing works on the front. I used combined Minoxidil (Rogaine) and Finasteride (Propecia) until a couple of years ago which stopped hairloss and helped grow back some at the back (of my head). Got lazy and cheap and now see the results (of only using Minoxidil). I have just ordered a new batch of Finasteride to restore a full head. It does not work for everyone, but works for me, especially when combining the two. Never felt any side effects either. Cost can be less than a decent PAM rep when you go for generic. Minoxidil ca. $100/year; Finasteride ca $200/year. To make thin hair appear thicker have a look at the Samy's products. Their shampoo and conditioner aren't cheap (at least in the UK) but make a whole lot of difference.
  8. Nice pics. You must have gotten the one cloudy day. It's usually all sunshine here ;-)
  9. To get around the "German only" issue just logon to ebay.de with your UK account and submit your bid.
  10. 2 sets for me please (plus one 001 and one 202 dial when available again)
  11. From experience stuff going through Heathrow can take up to 4 days in Customs, Coventry 2 days max. Should be with you soon.
  12. I regularly get parcels from China (not watches) and 6 - 8 weeks with regular mail is not out of the ordinary. Tony is has always come through for me and I am sure everything will work out for you.
  13. Yes, the UK seems to be the best way to get watches into Europe. With 20 odd watches over the last 2 years I never had a single issue. (Falls du dich fuer die $99 111 von PWC entscheidest, kann ich dir vielleicht helfen. Schick mir PM.)
  14. I would give Seads $400 fully modded 111h a try. Thanks to the strong Euro the difference in price is not that significant. A friend of mine just ordered one, and Sead is now even including the blue tint removal in the price. I know German custom might be a PITA but maybe you know somebody in a more open country who can help.
  15. Thanks for this inside info. Russians in China are the worsed of their kind. Used to work in San Li Tun and had a look around Ya Bao Lu a few times, the way most Russians behaved was just a nightmare. Sad thing is with a little bit of effort he could probably manage to get a tidy profit without scamming other people.
  16. Absolutely no issue. With the exception of France you are OK with a rep pretty much anywhere in Europe.
  17. The old TT sits on a Golf platform which paired with the TT's shape and stiffened suspension lead to oversteer. Some people lost control at high speed and after a couple of fatal accidents Audi decided to add a boot spoiler for added traction. Best to go for the 3.2 quattro, as the turbo's won't last too long plus you'll need to get the cam belt changed quite frequently. The new TT is worlds better, especially if you are not just after a cruiser.
  18. The "Super Reps" available from the Board Dealers are commissioned pieces from a handful of factories. Quite often the genuine watch has been used for the replication. You will have a hard time finding these models in the GZ market. Other run-of-the-mill reps especially with Asian movements can be found cheaper in GZ. But as there is at least 95% crap for sale there you really need to know what you are looking for. Problem is most of the sellers don't know too much about their products either, so it turns into a very frustrating experience. Especially since mostly generic models are on display and they have to get every rep from some distant warehouse....

  20. For high quality reps you better stick to the board dealers. Most of the watches you buy in the market are way inferior. You can get high quality reps in a few places, but you mights pay more than here. In Beijing there are a few sellers on the top floor of the Silk Market, and some of the sellers in Hong Qiao market have offices in the Hutong behind the market where they have better quality. From experience it's not worth the effort. You can get somehting more decent in Guangzhou, especially for parts. But you better know what you are looking for.
  21. Got the same watch of Trusty. Have to say it feels like the best Rolex rep so far. The lume holds the whole night, which is the first for any out of the box rep I ever had. Went for the cheapest 2813 because I figured eventualy the thin bezel markers will be fixed and I will be longing for an upgrade. By the way the case back construction is impressive. The titanium piece is actually a massive cone sitting directly over the movement.
  22. Got the same Breitling of Trusty and have similar experience with the 7750. I had several watches based on the same movement but this one finally seems to be without fault. I never had any of them breaking down, but had the familiar problems with continous running hour counters and date setting.
