  1. great watch! wear it well
  2. i noticed the box and the booklet, since i know its the "standard" gen rep box set and the only booklet that comes with it is that instruction booklet, while on the rep box set, no matter what watch you purchase- you get the same booklet and box only. i hardly believe that a gen bentley owner will put it up on ebay with the wrong booklet, and no other papers at all i have seen gen. breitling sold without any papers, but thats very rare, the photos are pretty blurry, so its hard to tell- even if its a rep, it's probably a good one, but i'm still am not sure of it isnt a scam i mean, ok, wrong papers ? but why wrong box set ? also, the seller don't mention anything like "original box was lost- but i include a generic breitling box" or anything to tell he is aware of the fact the box is not belonging to a bentley nor the booklet but again, i am not sure.. looking bad though..
  3. well, photos are not so great, but one thing that made me look was the instructions manual at one of the pics, so if i get to buy a gen bentley, should i get a "CROSSWIND SPECIAL" instruction book along with it? also, hey dude! if you kept the instruction book, i guess you probably also kept the other papers, where are they? http://cgi.ebay.com/Breitling-for-Bentley-...p3285.c57.l1288 i dont know, but have a look.. is that a gen?
  4. well, too bad no one shows any interest anyways, i did it, took these rounded screws of the GT bracelet and flatten them secessfully its looking good (photo of screw compartion later), i wonder, can i get a quantity of these screws from some dealer ? (say 15-20 screws)
  5. ive just reported this auction, someone report on this too, i will feel bad if this auction will be ended and a poor person will pay this money for that crap rep sold as gen
  6. yeah, cheap canal st. rep to me.. guess this is why the photos are so bad and unfocused.. i start thinking, there are many people on ebay that are buying some really bad $50 reps for 2000-3000 bux, wear them with pride, not knowing they have purchased a REALLY BAD rep, damn i hate these scammers!
  7. Hi, well, thought of the bracelet flaw on the breitling bracelets, where the screw heads are rounded , why won't we try to flatten them to match the gen? i thought of lightly, gently, grind a tiny coat off the head of a screw, to make it flatter, and then polish to give it its polished look back, this way getting a flat headed screw which is closer to gen, did anyone tried this before? what do you think.. db1
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com/Breitling-Motors-Chron...tem110227153459 what is this? yeah, right! a "no-reserve" auction on a genuine bentley
  9. thanks for the tip andreww! too bad it only has visible lume on the hands and not markers, but i won't judge this amazing rep only for its lume now i only need a box and i'm set maybe a little later- relume, double AR, servicing, but first i want to play with it for awhile
  10. thanks alot for the tip italiano well, i was searching at TZ but couldnt find the trade area, only tons of other links, where is the members trade area?
  11. lol, sizing my GT bracelet yesterday was annoying as hell! but not cause of the puzzle links, more cause some of the links were STUCK but at the end i managed :] i heard the navitimers has most puzzle parts in each link
  12. Now i only need a box for the watch, and i have seen on silix-prime a nice per gen breitling box for 30 bux. does anyone have bought a breitling box from silix? is it high quality? thanks db1
  13. I Just got my Bentley GT Racing, it is really amazing! i can't believe how come this model is almost unmentioned, i am impressed and very satisfied.. the only thing that was annoying me is the fact my bezel turns both sides without clicking at all, but its nothing critical oh, and the bracelet was a living hell to resize, just like they glued a few of the links together in between the screws, but after some struggle with them (and some force) i got the bracelet resized the quality of the watch is really amazing, the only two visible flaws in my opinion- is the lack of double AR, and the inner bezel which is way too thick from the gen, yeah and the clasp is tight as hell as spoken on rwg before- the racing edition does have some light AR on the sapphire, but really light coat the watch feels heavy and solid, the rotor is very noisy overall for first impression - great watch for the money. i'll post some photos once i'll have the camera in hand db1

  15. as the title says, is there a source for getting these seagull st-25 / st-18 movements from? cheers
  16. Hi, i recently have got a used faux rolex daytona with the running secs @ 6 from a member here on rwg. got it for fun, and interest. other then the TERRIBLE sub-dials, which are fat and shiny, the watch is pretty nice. the sub-dials works as day-date at 9 and 3 positions, and the secs running currectly at 6. have opened the case, to find a movement that is as far as i know, a DG2813 i wonder, how did they get this movement to have secs running @ 6 ? is that a modification ? or the movement has this feature out of the box? as much as i know, the DG2813 is a simple date movement, and sometimes has the faux chronos (without having running seconds) am i wrong? i know there is also the higher beat version of this movement, does it also have the ability to run the secs @ 6 with the faux hands at 9 and 3 ? any information is welcome thankss db1
  17. Hi, was at my local watchsmith yesterday, and saw him service a vintage omega seamaster! he was about to oil some movement parts, he had gone somewhere and came back with a small plastic bottle marked F-350 silicon oil, and refilled the oil bean he had on the servicing table. what is F-350 silicon oil? is that one of the fine oils for servicing mechanical movements? is it made for this? just wondering, seemed like its not the first time he uses this. maybe The Zigmeister can know for sure? thanks! db1
  18. thanks for your tips bros :] so what you mean andrew , is that there is no way to make the stem & crown line up right with what i am thinking to do?
  19. thanks for your help! actualy i wasnt refering to the DG2813, but to the higher beat rate version of it, which is also called asian 8413 (also the one that was in Josh's post "refered as ETA but not ETA" i believe what i currently have in the sub right now, is a DG2813 (21,600) or maybe even worse (i am thinking about a 17j crap movement!) the case of the sub i have is the old case which is refered as the best factory case? or something like that.. by many rep collectors, i just don't like the movement in there, with the seconds which sweeps really poorly, and date font is really bad as well.. i though the asian 8413 would be a cheap, and good replacement, does anyone knows if it can fit in there? i am not sure, but it is possible that the current movement in my sub is a DG2813 or anything similier. i can have a watchsmith swap the movements for me, just wondering if this swap would fit any more help will be great thanks
  20. I have a cheap submariner (the cheapest "canal st" reps with the 17j movement... probably... second hand jerks really bad) the watch is unworn most of the time, i want to swap the movement in there for an asian 8413 with the high beat rate, its a cheap, yet better movement then what i have in there, which will also give me a smoother second hand, and better date font (currently has date font with the "open" 9 and 6 etc..) what do you think about this movement? its damn cheap, but i heard is ok, would it fit my cheap submariner? any help appreciated! thanks
  21. @ By-Tor: damn, i checked the link- this is nice :] accurate case and dial with the 21j version? really better looking then what i have seen.. these are probably rare, not available anyway dont they? do you have a clue what 21j movement these daytonas had in them?
  22. Hi, i noticed most of the lower-end (cheap) movement rotors are fixed with a screw and no ball bearing, while the higher-end movements (such as eta, and the "35" jewels sea-gull and etc), does have ball bearing on the rotor. whats the difference? could a non ball-bearing rotor be replaced with a ball-bearing rotor ? (e.g. on the cheap mvoements) or it is a complete mechanism? any information is welcome
  23. dont know if anyone is looking for this, but its there http://cgi.ebay.com/344-Reloj-ZENITH-CRONO...oQQcmdZViewItem a complete zenith chronograph watch with the mighty el primero 31j movement! damn this is an expensive buy love these photos
  24. for only changing straps \ bracelet i don't think you need alot of tools, maybe a good quality precision screw driver set and a watch case holder alone will get you going, for other things you may need more tools. since i have seen you are UK, i know of 2 options for ordering tools and supplies, one is cousinsuk.com (hope thats the correct addy) and the other one is rnhorological.co.uk both are UK and have excellent selection of goods. hope i helped
