Hi, i would like to know if an Seagull ST-25 movement could fit inside a rolex submariner case? it's a pretty nice movement, and pretty cheap as well (around $90 when you find them). but as much as i remember- it's pretty damn thick ! maybe even too thick for a breitling superocean case! what do you guys think? any help will be much appreciated..

thanks for letting me know anyway it's a nice fantasy model- although i keep it in my "drawer" lol maybe i'll wear it some day.
-
lol...yeah i haven't seen one on panerai's official web site yet, but ive got one, it has the nice movement so maybe i'll keep it, even though i never wear it yesterday i took some time to look at my "drawer" reps, which are usually reps that i've bought brand new and never wear. and i found this one, got me wondering :]

Hi, i wanna get a Pam 125 with a PR, the rep with the "sealgull" (or ST... etc..) movement. i like this watch, thats the pam i like the most- and they have good movement and affordable prices. i'm looking for a us-based collector, does anybody knows where should i look? any help will be so much appreciated. thanks

hi friends, haven't been here for awhile.. i'm in the US right now, and would like to get a few reps (much less customs risk than israel) anyway, i prefer to order from a US-based dealer, to avoid the hassle of the watch being seized and stuff. i don't care to order from china based collectors but it will be a higher risk with customs as i'll probably would like more than one watch. who are us-based collectors? Thnx

Newbie Gets Breitling Chronomat Evo by Josh

all these swiss replica online ripoff stores are always pissing me off! sometimes they even chrage $1000 for a "swiss" rep and when you open the case you might be shocked to find a DG hi-beat $20 movement! but no matter, it's good you have found rwg, better late then never! the BCE is a great rep! wear it well my friend and welcome to rwg! -
Dave123: wow, a gen SA def. has a class of it self .. wear it well my friend !! lol, maybe rep factories thought that as more bluish is better i believe some people (newbies wise) only look for the blue tint to "verify" they have got AR, and forget that the main purpose of AR coating is not to tint blue like a camera flash- but more to make the crystal anti reflective and as much "invisible" as possible
-
hate that, i guess e-bay don't mind cashing in on sales fees of watch scams.. :\
-
cheif: of course it will not impress you, but don't try to compare it to your double AR cause it will lose any day! lol i meant- for a rep with some hype "light AR", my rep turned to have a pretty effective LIGHT AR.. good enough that i compared it to a single sided AR crystal in sunlight, and haven't seen too much of a difference anton: i have the black face GT, you are right! on direct sunlight it works better! somhow also in less brighter lighting i can see a pretty good effect for a thin, "light" AR coating.. honestly, i thought it will be so crappy that it will not even be seen or have any effect

Wish i could post pics (tried to take pics of the watch, to find out my 8mp digicam is a POS for closeups :\ ) finally had time today to deeply look on my Bentley GT racing crystal in many angels. the "Special Edition" GT is described as having light AR , that in fact no AR at all exists on it's crystal. but the GT Racing edition- DOES HAVE some light AR coating, which is, in my own opinion- not so light! as good as a nice single sided AR looked at my crystal in many angels today, some in direct sunlight, and room gight, and normal lighting. i am pretty impressed! for a "light" AR, it's pretty damn good! in about %70 of the angels i look at the crystal- it's almost invisible, even in about %60 of the times in sunlight! i have heard, before purchasing the GT Racing, that the light AR is a big joke- but as much as i can see on my rep, it's as good as a single coated AR, really good for an out-the-box Bentley GT ! especialy when it is known that the "polished" GT come with no AR at all or maybe i am just lucky? is it possible that on each rep the "light" AR comes out different ? better or worse wise

what about this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ka015-b-Silent-Mechani...p3286.c57.l1288 looks pretty decent for the price (yeah i know it looks like a cheap plastic build- but still), and also holds the watches vertically, also a nice feature is a very adjustable timer for rotation. tell me what you think
-
do you recommend any specific type of winder that will work nicely with a A7750 chrono ? and what is the winding direction of the rotor in this specific movement? thanks
-
thank you for the info! so that means that for a A7750 to get wounded on a winder, it got to be sitting in a very specific angel to work? at what angels a A7750 does not get wounded ? very informative, i didnt know.. is there a winder known to be fine for a A7750? also about the "other" questions- hope someone will be able to answer all of few of them, they are interesting as well thanks
-
hey, as most of your probably noticed, i have a Bentley GT rep with the asian 7750 movement. i don't want to have this rep to be my daily beater, still want to keep it wounded and running even while resting at home. i was thinking about these $60 watch winders from ebay, but i wanted to ask from the experts before i do anything does it safe to put a rep with an A7750 movement on a watch winder on a regualr basis? does the A7750 has that sort of over-wound protection mechanism i heard about ? does the movement gets more wear & tear when constantly being wounded on a winder then sitting in the box till i wear it ? does a movement that is all the time being wounded and gears working, gets more wear & tear then one that rests in a box, and get shaken and working just before i wear it each and every time? lots of questions searched the forum, but didn't find a thread that fitted as much. any info will help thanks

It's been over 2 months that i am trying to source a Breitling GT instruction manual to buy, can not find it anywhere, not on ebay nor even google.. I am looking for a brand new, or even a used in good condition one will be fine, but none of them exists for sale without getting the whole $8000 deal. does any one knows if it's possible to get one? it can really add a nice addition to my rep, i thought at first maybe to try at an AD, telling him i am collecting these books- but hey, no way he would give away one of these without getting the watch right? even if i am willing for pay 2-3 dozen bux for one any help will be appreciated.. thanks
-
hey, sorry i forgot about the link altogether i was looking at this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Blue-Red-Bezel-Insert-...1QQcmdZViewItem there are more sellers on ebay selling aftermarket inserts, but i believe from the same source (or am i wrong?) let me know what you think, thanks
-
friendly *bump*

like the title says, i would like to know if the aftermarket GMT master "high quality" (by description) inserts sold on ebay for like $15 are better and more accurate from the stock factory rep insert ? according to font accuracy, insert color, print and build quality etc.. or is it worthless to buy these, and better just look out for a gen insert? thanks
-
lol, yeah sounds odd.. like they replaced %90 of the whole watch, probably nothing more then some selling gimick
-
hey, thanks for the links and thanks for the info what about fitting a gen bezel and \ or insert ? big mod? or an easy fix?
-
thanks btw, i did a little check on ebay for gen. gmt master II models, and i could not find one with lug holes.. how come?
-
need your opinions here, is this one worth the extra money? how accurate is this in compare to silix's ETA nickel plated movement version? link to trusty's, the one i was looking at: http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=2033 is that the best, most accurate out-of-the-box version i can get ? any help will be so much appreciated, i plan on a gmt master II with ETA, with a budget of $300 inc. shipping, wanna know how close i can get to gen with this budget and available out-the-box options. db1
-
hey, thanks for the info! i just had a look on trusty time's gmt master two ETA, this one don't have a nickel plated movement, but.. what is different in his version then silix's? sorry for being sound like a noob, cause according to rolex reps- i am a noob thanks for the paitence
