  1. thanks for the tip! so how can i know which has the closed version and with the open? probably older or news models with different date wheels? which models has the "open" 6 and 9 fonts date wheel and which has the "closed" ? thanks alot
  2. i wanted to know, does a genuine rolex gmt master date wheel has the 9 and 6 "open" or "closed" ? does anyone knows for sure? thanks
  3. Hi, i look for quite awhile for a swiss ETA rolex GMT Master II rep (pepsi bezel), found one all SS from silix for $220 with the nickel plated 25j ETA movement. i'm kind of interested in this specific rep, what do you think about it? in form of accuracy, finish, movement, and overall quality? i already have a bentley gt rep, but i look for a less blingy daily wear rep, with less complicated movement (for relaibility) and thought a non-chrono would be good, and i really like the gmt master. what do you think of it as a daily watch? which will need to stand about 14hours or day wearing, everyday, anywhere any time, i mean the swiss ETA version of course any input would be great thanks
  4. amazing work on this watch wear it well!!
  5. thanks! any more opinions? info? i believe t least a few on this board have got this one at the point? i love the automatic movement in it, i heard its pretty much close in quality to an ETA, is that for real? any info appreciated thanks
  6. hey, thanks! do you know this watch? does it mean it works like a gmt like watch? looks like something different what the two bezels stand for?
  7. does anyone knows this world timer watch ? looks interesting, but i dont know for what the 2nd and 3rd crowns are for. any help appreciated
  8. yeah, they miss the date window.. if they had the date window i would purchase one of these right away thanks for the tips!
  9. Hi, i have for about two years now, a pretty cheap breitling chrono-matic rep, the one with the japanese 21j auto movement, with the faux chronos, i really like this watch, but one thing that upset me is the fact it came with a cheap-of-the-cheapest bracelet, well- its nice but instead of screws it has .. guess what- pins! and the clasp is so inaccurate.. where can i get an aftermarket bracelet to fit it ? it looks similier to this one http://www.todocoleccion.net/lote.cfm?Id_Lote=5464733 btw: for some reason, in my back case it has the bentley wheel back case, but case same as in the photo any help apprecaited thanks!
  10. http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1485 what do you know about this rep? anyone has it? how is the movement? how is the build quality? what about rep accurecy? i really like the sub secs @ 9 with power-reserve model, with an auto movement. any tips will be appreciated thanks
  11. if the gear is anodized red then its really good, unlike the cheap "painted" or "sticker" versions :] and yeah, not like anyone would try to pass the movement as gem but its nice to look at something that is trying to get as close, at least visualy
  12. just interested me ain't worth the extra $10, although its a nice addition but since i asume that its a painted gear that can cause movement problems when it will wear off- i'll rather go without it, unless its a "real" colored metal (like they make these key chains that never wears off) i want to get either a sub or a gmt master with ETA, not sure about the GMT, is the movement in these reps is reliable ? does it comes with a real ETA, or a "ETA Copy" like the thread about the fast-beat DG movement being advertised as asian eta? (which is nothing more then a $24 fast-beat movement, which has nothing to do with ETA, nor eta copy) what is the best gmt master or sub version currently available? i am not a rolex expert and the only rolex i currently has is the faux daytona with secs @ 6 and a 21j asian black bezel sub. is there a gmt master, or sub rep version with gen. ETA ? or should i have to get an asian copy and transplant an ETA into it ? thanks
  13. this version costs an extra $10, probably for the "red gear" in the movement, is that a painted red gear? or a "real" red gear that will not get the color off ? link: http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1500 thanks
  14. i hardly believe a worker at a tyre club can wear a gen, unless he had busted a 6 months money earning on a watch :] i know lots of people that are wearing reps, pretend as they have the real thing. it happens the most with people that are not rep collectors, just some pals who have paid $1000 for perfect sub and pose it as gen to anyone asking but i dunno, maybe his watch was a gen..

    7750 GT

this is weird, i swirl wind the bentley gt for a handsome of times, and it rolls.. and stops... then i swirl again.. roll, stop.. like the movement is not being wound! like there is no time reserving at all, it rolls smoothly only upon swirl winding again and again, like it doesnt keep any power reserve, when it roll i can hear the ticking, when it stops, the movement stop ticking- like its fully unwound what is this? is that a movement problem? this gt is only 2 weeks old, with very light use, and no chrono use at all (also date was never set at the wrong time etc) please help im going nutz! thanks!!
  18. one word- excellent
  19. weird: this morning i woke up, to check the GT, well it was fully unwound so it stopped, but something is wrong.. last night at 10:00pm position it was wounded and rolling, and i found it this morning at 6:00am position and the date didnt change from yesterday! is that possible? it was 4th, tue yesterday.. and this morning it stayed like this.. how does the date mechanism on a 7750 works? any info would be appereciated thanks!
  20. dont get me wrong- i have seen gen breitlings, and i know how the gen AR looks alike (see them a few times a week, one friend with a gen EVO and another one with a gen navitimer world) we wish the rep AR coating would be %100 like the gen, but still- %90 is fair enough for the money (you can't compare a $8000 gen to a $390 rep, still..) well, i try to make a point here- double AR coating is something you can do to you rep's crystal and make it %90-95 closer to gen, while replacing the thick inner bezel is currently, as much as i know- not possible i wish they would produce the GT with the correct inner bezel, maroon red font, and double AR, if that would happen? that's another story
  21. thanks The Zigmeister now i can relax lol
  22. hi, i was setting the time on my bentley GT racing, pulled out the crown, havnt seen it was not fully out, and tried to set the time one of the big hands moved a little, and then nothing was moving, tried a 1/4 turn with the crown nothing moving, then pulled it a little more out.. and found it the crown was not fully out when i tried to turn it a second before, after pulling a little more out if was fully out and i could adjust the time with no problems, clicked the crown back and everything looks fine, what i wonder, did i harm the movement when trying to turn the crown for setting the time while the crown was not fully out? (it was a 3/4 turn i believe) hope The Zigmeister could give me a final answer also, i would like to know, what other things can harm the a7750 with secs @ 9 other then setting the date between 10 to 2 ? thanks for any information! db1
  23. OMG, this is fantastic! wow, i am so impressed!! great work The Zigmeister, simply amazing
  24. will post them tomorrow - if i'll find that d@mn USB cable for my digicam.. lol @ AY CEE - you are right, there is not enough attention for improving the bentleys like they do with the other (more talked about) models. about call out the GT racing rep - in my opinion the only BIG TELL from a distance, is the way-too-thick inner bezel, which can be seen for a nice distance otherwise, even from a 5meter distance it might appear to be a gen hopefully the bentley reps will be improved in the future, in my opinion the bentleys are amazing looking reps as much as the chronomats are btw: another flaw is in the bracelet, with the rounded screws - but i managed to make them all flat :] and yeah it looks much better when they are flat i have seen a gen bracelet- the screws on that one are flat, and when fully screwed-in they are at the same surface with the steel, my rep bracelet screws are now flat, a little sunk in their holes, but still looking way better then the factory rounded screws
