  1. First of all, forget about buying reps in Paris, you'll only find a few crappy one in the flea market of Saint Ouen (nice place to visit if you like flea markets, BTW) C'mon, you gotta be kidding. Yes, everything is extremely overpriced, especialy for a dollar-income tourist, since the euro is higher everyday, but you've got tons of nice place to eat (won't be cheap, though). If you're looking for high en retaurants, better take some reservation in advance. What kind of restaurant are you looking for? Cheap, expensive, French, Italian, Japanese...? Never realised you lived in Paris Pug... are you french ??? @vbarret Hey, I live in the Marais A great place to visit, BTW, tons of museums, every building is like 5 to 8 century old, monuments at every crossing... I love this place... Start from the 'place des Vosges', take the 'rue des Franc Bourgeois' and walk through the Marais... shops are open on sunday, if the weather's nice, it'll be a great souvenir... Cheers
  2. at least he seems to have the papers...
  3. er... search button, I guess, is the best shortcut Welcome, BTW.
  4. screams fake
  5. nice find, I hate the case but the dial is awsome!
  6. Yeah, I agree with ryyannon, Cuba is a better choice. Jamaica is great also, but clearly more dangerous... If you're into danger, it beats Cuba and Dominican republic all together...
  7. can you get an eps or illustrator file for this dial? If so, I can try and tweak it to make it close as possible to the gen...
  8. you beat me on this one Pug...
  9. is the first pic the one to be 'photoshoped' ???
  10. yep, MBW got it wrong, but obviously, who's going to notice, beside a PP AD? I live in Paris and often go to London and Barcelona, I often do some watch window shopping, and believe me, I've seen the most outstanding windows in Europe. For the past 10 years, I've seen 2 or 3 nautilus in an AD, no more (and I've looked at hundreds of AD, and dozens of PP AD). To me, only a PP freak is going to notice such flaws, and they are very few of them (like yourself). My guess is that, beside a real PP freak, nobody will notice. Any watch expert will focus on the details (finish, etc), and on that point, the Neutilus seems to be on the same level than the gen.
  11. Absolutely Long time collectors have, most of the time, a quality over quantity approach... Cheap rep is not something you're going to wear, and it'll end up in your watchbox. Extend to the max your wishlist and then narrow it to quality reps only. Gosh! If you really digg the gen, at least, wait for a decent quality rep... Plus, I agree, choose your dealer, then the watch, this is no wallmart/amazon shopping mall, you're buying conterfeit goods. If you were to buy some dope, would you have numerous dealers or would you have only one or two trusted one? (don't get me wrong, my comparision ends here ) So your watch list (and some dealer due diligence on the boards, of course) should lead you to your dealer(s). Considering your extensive watch list, you'll probably end up with a broad-catalog dealer, not a high-end rep collector like Paso or TTK, witch should be fine for a start. Most of all, have fun!
  12.
  13. ok, ok, I'm a maniac, I admit...
  14. GMT with jubile bracelet are really nice... great watch.
  15. What may differ between the general and common choices and yours is that we're a bunch a fanatic looking for the perfect rep, perfection comes sometime before taste... How about listing your selection for us to comment ?? Cheers
  16. You are Sub crazy, without a doubt
  17. mine's oon its way to home... from TTK also... waiting...is... so... hard...

  20. The gold panny with this green strap is awsome...
  21. yep, king is a very serious dealer, go and see silix-prime also, he has pretty good prices...
  22. Bringing a high end chinese 'nobrand' watch dealer to this board would be awsome...
  23. well... first of all, we french like complex answers to simple question. Second, his question asked for more detailled answers, don't you think so? Cheers
  24. The main problem with this movement (beside the 'second @ 6' tweak, witch is irelevant here) is that they are badly oiled, if you have it service (add $200) by The Zigmeister, you'll have a reliable mouvement. The second generation beats at 28.800 bps, in this case, you have a second generation movement. nope, you'll have to do some mods for this (correct me if I'm wrong), once again, The Zigmeister's the man. scam site, stay away! Zenith is a high end movement manufacture, but has nothing to do with the website you mention here. Not the same watch, but yes, you'll end up with a much more reliable watch. No, it's only available with asian 7750, swapping with a swiss might be difficult with the recent asian 7750, if not impossible. Well... choose your dealer carefully, it's your only garantee. Bienvenue sur RWG alors Cheers
  25. I love the SS version of this one... I'm surprised you can't source this by yourself directly from the factory or a wholesaler Narikaa... (was hoping a collector here would be able to do so... hopefully you)
