It's just a cheap movement from an Invicta, I just put it in because I'd like to really skeletonize a 6497 by hand someday.... fixing the recessed pin on my 112 today, will post some pics if it works out.

I agree,,,seems like the same general variety of hairless apes to me (no offense as I'm just another one of them myself). However, the only difference I see is that no one on this forum bitches that they just got a big raise at work and needs others to help to them decide which 10K watch to buy. Besides that, I don't see a real difference.

I totally agree, I look at my 20 mm straps and swear it looks like a joke. At this point I will not even go 22 mm even if I really like the watch. My orange monster is the last non 24 mm watch I'll buy. Nothing is worse than a nice huge 44mm watch with a 20 mm strap (ex. Zeno has a lot of these). And of course,,,has to be 24/24 or 26/26 but can't find a 24/24 exotic like snake or croc. Anyone know where I can get one of these?

I can't believe I'm going to buy this. I just ordered the 024 but wish I would have put the money towards this totally cool piece. Looks great but I will probably wait till the price drops a bit and it is offered by someone form this group.

Two things about the base. First, I do agree, it has to be on a strap. However, I just ordered the SS because I think it also looks pretty good and would be a nice change once in a while. Also, perhaps more than any other rep, the recessed pin has to be fixed on the base. Here is my base from Joshua along with my sat project. I was going to fix the pin, but got caught up with trying to do a skeletonized Luminor. Here is a pic of the complex, and the simple.

I just got the 112H from Joshua with a strap today, that pic makes me wish I got the bracelet. Very nice.

After totally getting into Panerai, I spent the last year "learning" Italian from tapes while I drive to work. It just it me, while I can speak and understand some Italian, I can't type a damn thing!
