  1. That's what I thought. Well then, I'd say stay away from those guys! Especially since they seem to be using pictures of gens. That's usually a big huge RED flag. LOL
  2. Wait. Those are reps? If they're not those prices are too good to be true no? I'm no Longines expert, but I'm almost certain that those prices are too good to be true...
  3. John, Just send George an PM and he'll fill you in on details. z
  4. Wow!!! How in the world did I miss this???!!! Well first things first... 1. A very warm welcome! 2. How in the world can I get my hands on one of those beauties??? 3. My hats off to you on your great achievement.
  5. Umm... because it looks cool???
  6. I can't say about the new PP, but the older model's bezel lock works when you press the button. Meaning the bezel will not turn unless you have the button pressed down.
  7. Wow! How big is that watch? Congrats on a great addition by the way.
  8. Jurgens do make some great mesh bracelets, but they are a bit pricy.
  9. If you don't like the Omega mesh bracelets, lonestar makes some of the best mesh bracelets for the money IMHO. I've had great experience with them. http://www.lonestarwatches.com/bracelets.htm
  10. It's finally here! Is it me or does the lume on the bezel seem blue and the lume on the dial and hands green. Can't wait for our in house experts to get their hands on one of these to do a review.
  11. Congrats on your new family! Miracles do come true. My hopes and prayers are with you and your family.
  12. Glad to see you back on again Robbie!
  13. Congrats on the new addition! It's really an awesome watch. I keep mine on a mesh and it works like a charm. Enjoy!
  14. That's what I figured. I didn't think they'd make a rep of this. I've owned 2 BR-01's in the past and they're indeed very nice watches. I miss mine. Enjoy yours.
  15. Excuse my ignorance, but is this a rep? If it is, I didn't even know they made a rep of this model.
  16. A buddy of mine has one of these in both PVD and SS. They're very nice for the money and, from what he tells me, a very accurate time piece. IMHO it's a very good evolution of a classic design. A great bang for the buck!
  17. Never knew that anyone, or forum, would do such a thing, but if you consider that boasting a larger community could lead to larger ad dollars I guess it isn't too hard to imagine. This is why I make RWG my home.
  18. Maybe it was made for Andrew the Giant??? I don't think Flava Flave would wear that thing. Very interesting piece though I must admit. Great pick up, enjoy!
  19. To one real stand up guy. Happy birthday Hike!
  20. Hey guys, I put a WTB add up in the WTB section, but I guess this might work better as I'm in a bit of bind given time concerns. (Mods if this is inappropriate please feel free to remove and my apologies if it is.) I have a good buddy who's father's bday is coming up in about a week. My buddy got into the rep word via yours truely, because I gave to him as a present for his bday. It was a mint franken PAM 202 (I think LOL) I've had in my collection for some time. So he would like to source one, or something similiar, for his old man's bday. So for those of you who are in CONUS and have a mint PAM to part with please message me. It doesn't have to be a franken, but I would like for it to be mint and a fairly good rep as it will be a gift. Now for a little background. My friend's old man is a very successful businessman. Last I checked his comany was worth something north of 350 million. He isn't a fancy guy at all and from his dress and even his cars you wouldn't even know he was well off. I've seen him with a Rolex Pres that was given to him as a gift, but was stolen from him some time ago. He does wear something that looks like a Patek (not really sure) that was given to him as a gift by a former President of the Republic of Korea. Otherwise, I've yet to see him wearning anything else. I've actually talked to my buddy about some stuff that his old man might like, but we really never got anywhere with that conversation. I guess seeing my friend's PAM got him interested. So, my buddy has asked me if I could source something similar for his old man. Again, please PM me if you have one available for sale. Thanks in advance!!!
  21. For me it's always been the "knowing" and having peace of mind that true professionals put their skills to use in putting together a gen. Not that rep makers aren't professionals either, but I think you get my drift. This is all the reason why I leave the rep world, now and then, only to come back at some point when I'm looking down at my "gen" watch and wondering to myself if that peace of mind is really worth the extra (fill-in-the-blank) money. So I leave the discussion of how much better gens are to others and go about my life attempting to balance gens with reps. Good post BT.
