Are 005 sec hand center stem ring color silver or white??? Got some pic`s from web: white( pictures from HomageForum), hopefully sample pictures owner`s will not be displeased: and silver-watch( pic from from TC-UK ) H factory has a silver second hand center ring, but some 005 have a all white center ring. What is correct , silver or white?

I would be nice, such a project. Easy to do, movement/case/ hole`s on dial are probably(I am not 100% sure) same size if you have some nice PP rep with venus copy movement. But gold case vintage watch is ~900+.... usd and after rep PP dial swap/hand set you will STILL have a very expansive "FANTASY" watch. If it is ok to you, go for it. I had same project in my mind, but I did not find suitable( cheap enough) gen watch donor. Usually if gen watch is around 1000 or more usd, there is no point to swap gen dial with rep dial. Better restore original dial and hand and keep it has it is. It will have more value in future as gen watch. If you make gen + rep hybrid, you can not sell it afterward with profit etc, only value is for you. Is there point to spend 1000+ usd in this case, don`t know. But for your project you can use dial like this probably, buy only silver( or silver white)dial, white or cream white looks quit dull. I would not use gen like dial, better is PP phantasy rep dial. PP don`t have watch`es with this type of movement. If you will use gen like rep dial, you will have instant give away -sub dial allocation- too far from central CP: easy swap with this: And I would probably use (restored of course) gen watch hand set also for this kind of project

Yes it is nice recommendation Better is start with simple 6497 movement. I started with this movement a few time ago ( I was get tire to pay local watchmaker constantly eventually )and no problem at all. Movement swap, higher CP, hand set install etc. It is not a problem. Of course always is risk of damage watch hand`s. You can protect dial and hand set with thin film or paper but after taking off hand`s, specially second hand, hand will be crooked sometimes. Damaged during take from CP...And sometimes restoring them is not possible or result will not be as good as you like. You have always be prepared that you need some spare parts and you can spoil something. But I would not touch 7750 type movement`s or copy Venus movement by myself. Too complicated for me, ok probably I can take movement out, there is a lot on material tutorial`s etc . Unfortunately main problem for me is, I don`t know how to take off 7750 chrono pushers... , not a single learning video on tutorial does not show what I shall do with chrono pushers.... how pushers are connected with movement? Do I have to take off some fasteners between chrono pushers and movement before I take off 7750 movement? I don´t know unfortunately... And full service is also not so good idea make is by yourself. These is lot of skills needed. All gears are very very tiny, you need to know what type of oil where to use , you need Ultrasonic Cleaner `s etc . I will pay for watchmaker better:)

I have same watch also, negative display is sometimes difficult to read, but no problem usually. This watch is my true "work horse".

Aaahh... nice work, I really like these 156 and 186, only question is for me how good is 7750 based GMT movement... I am a afraid these GMT movements... but they both are really nice looking. For new 005 I think only "most to do" mod is CP mod, your watch is near perfect with gen dial/hand set and with swiss mov. but 005K rep dial is quite ok also for budget project , rep hand set( paint quality) is not very good under loup of course.

And maybe lot of more are coming: Topic fromRG Hopefully PAM359M will be good rep.

I had a few Ti case and I did find this ti case most suitable( gen like) for my PAM 040B project, but can somebody tell to me what case it is? Unfortunately I don`t know. It is not definitely DSN case... It has a tall lugs, so no problem with gen stap`s

BTW can somebody tell to my, these my 040B pictures on top, what type of "old school" case is used? It is not DSN case it is sure. I am not sure by myself what case set it is...worth of keeping?

yes thanks , only problem for me is that Jakob case back is etched, not engraved and that is quite disturbing for me.

Guitar, acoustic( more) and electric( less). I am 12- string acoustic guitar fan( big hand`s and fingers, 12s neck is wider, better to play for me). I can play a little with accordion also, my dad was teaching me when I was young. But I changed accordion to guitar soon..

advice: don´t order anything from CN till 14.02.11, then Chinese new year will be over and post offices will work as usually. Does no matter EMS or airmail, delivery is late that is 100% sure. I am waiting till 14.02 with my new order.
