Very nice collection. That 187 really stands out doesn't it. I have both the Daylight and the 201a and I would recommend the 201a unless you are willing to shell out the cash for the 7753. Davidsens PVD are so nice.

The 203 is the only gen that I would even consider buying. My wife who hates my reps, says that she would not mind it if I spent 20K on a real watch, and if i wanted she would let me buy it. But then I think with that kind of money, I could get the WM 6152 and still have 17K to play with. Still the 203 is very enticing...

Randy,
As always I am in awe of your talents. Wish I knew my way around a timepiece like you do. I have a Swiss Valjoux Daytona, that i never wear. But your thread makes me want to take it out of the watch box and show it the light of day that it deserves.

The best thing I see about this is it will flush out the BS? of those that claim that they do not take PP because of a frozen account. They will all get a fresh start. I don't particularly have the bad taste in my mouth that others do about PP, but it does worry me at times to have too much money tied up in it. But on the other hand it just does make propogating the hobby and getting a step closer to destitution just so much easier.

Oh my!! From what I take it he says limited pieces, so I'm assuming he has more than one. i have a feeler out to him about it. If it were still available in a month or so, when I start my new job, then I definitely would be all over it. I wonder where he got the angelus movement. I've been looking for it for a while now. I guess thats why they call him the master??

Just got the 195 and a replacement 201a today, so i thought I'd take some pics with the 009. David sent the 195 and 201a express mail from HK. Arrived in 2 days. Thanx David.
The 201a on a XaMas XXL.
The 009 on a PAV99
The 195 on a Dirk PVD

That 6152 is just a beauty. Maybe if I get the hang of this vintagizing after the Kampfschwimmer guinea pig I will get this one and do the distress thing to this beauty.

Never had any problems with the Asian auto in keeping the time.. In fact the only movement I had a problem with on all my watches was a Swiss Unitas. I love this watch as well. The only two watches that have seen my wrist lately is the WM, 009 and the 222. This will probably change when I get my 195 and 201a back from David Sen.
I forgot that it is winter time in the Southern Hemisphere.

I got a 176 Ti which is the Base model from Josh. Very nice. I like it beacuse not too many base Ti out there. I should have pics up in the Panerai section under "A Pair of Ti's"

Its all about perception. It doesn't matter that Mark Cuban who looks like the avg Joe next door is in fact a billionaire. If no one knew him and he was walking around with a $100K watch, the majority of people would think it was a fake. That is what eye surgeon is trying to say. I'm sure there are people in this world who are very well off, but dress down and vice versa, but people's perception will be different depending on what kind of persona you give off.

You sir a scholar and a gentleman. I was a little late when Spaghettiman put that baby up for sale. But I am happy that it has gone to a good... hopefully temporary home.

You can count me in Jon, especially if it is a hommage and not a replica of the 249 or 262. I'd rather have a Cali dial with no panerai on it with those thick hands... I guess this means i want your little joe.

Yes I would buy the watch again. This is a "limited" production watch with a look that I like. I do not get too stressed out about the movements. I have bought many Chinese movts that have been very solid performers. But to tell you the truth I did not even notice what the movt on the watch was before I ordered it, i just fell in love with the look oof the watch.
