Looks very interesting, but has anyone ever bought from this guy? He could be another exactreplicas.com - show you great stuff and ship crap, or nothing at all! The Breguet 6mm auto has me intrigued to say the least -

I like skeletons, too - but the gens are too expensive and reps I've found look really cheap. Kenneth Cole has some very affordable Gens (+-$150) that don't look bad, based on Chinese movements.

If it's too much for you to deal with, you can always go over to exactreplicas.com

Cool your jets, I've got him hunting a watch for me, too - he'll get back to you in a few days. Geez, these are not huge corporations with thousands of staff, it's one guy maybe two. Sometimes they get swamped with business, their internet connection goes down or sometimes they take a few days off to lay in the sun. Angus has never let me down yet. He's one of the most dependable "friends" I've worked with.

I have to agree, my favorite watch is my Nautilus 5711G, and nobody ever notices it, one woman thought it was an Accutron. Still, I think it's a fantastically beautiful watch, even as a rep. My grandfather had one thing to say about watches - "Patek means old money, Cartier means new money, Rolex means your plumbing supply business is doing well and Omega means your grandma is really happy you finally graduated liberal arts college"

New Bracelet available for the Corum AC 44mm

I've never liked Corum, but I'll admit this one is appealing - -
Problems with "Multibrand Store" payments?
RLudlowe replied to asiparks's topic in General Discussion
Most of these systems are designed around Explorer since that's the most common browser. If I have problems I usually just boot up IE7 and that usually solves the problem. But I've bought from both Angus and Andrew using Firefox 2 and 3 with no problems. You can also get an extension for Firefox called "IE Tab" that emulates explorer for clueless servers. -
Funny, I just read a study where they said most people think the best "Dr. Who" was whichever one that was on when they first started watching. I guess we never forget our first love -

Here's the watch I ultimately went with - a Santos Dumont from Andrew, 6mm thick and I think very handsome. I'll post wrist shots when it arrives - I know the Graham Chronofighter fans out there won't be impressed, but I like it -

How do you tell the time on this watch?

Yes, it's usually one or the other - -

How do you tell the time on this watch?

It's a jump-hour watch, the yellow hand is minutes and the little box shows the hours. They're actually not all that uncommon -
I've gotten three watches from him, all came quickly and were the correct watch, my only complaint is the Bvlgari came with the logo shiny instead of flat gray as it shows on his website but I decided it didn't bother me all that much and I never complained. The other two, a Cartier and a Patek, were exactly as shown on the website and have worked perfectly. The Nautilus is my favorite watch. All in all, he is the best I've worked with. I'd recommend him. PS - my last watch arrived a week ago, so this is not tales of the long gone past.

Forgive me as a newcomer here, but have any of you guys considered the Patek Gondolo 5111G? It's not only a really accurate rep, it's cheap, too! Here's the gen straight from the Patek site - And here's the rep - The back is even the same, flat with no markings, and the rep is handwind, just like the gen. And before somebody gripes about the date font, there isn't any on either the gen or the rep. But the logo font looks bang on and the hands are pretty good, too! Size is a little smaller, 47mm vs 47.8mm, I doubt anyone is going to notice. The rep even has the pointy "Patek Clasp" although the engraving doesn't look up to Patek standards. It may not carry a "SuperRep" price tag, but to me it looks like a pretty good copy of the original.

They both look great, and I really like th old-style clasp cover. But I prefer mine in Dark Grey, looks better with a black suit IMHO. If there was one gen I would buy if I could afford it, this is the one. I consider my rep as a salute to Gerald Genta's talents. Someday, maybe -

Thanks for the help, everyone!

Now THATS what I'm looking for - Do they sill make it?

Agreed.

Not really, It just seems that so many of the new watches out there are 16+mm chronos with 7750 engines. I have a couple of these, but since I got the Nautilus I got the bug for thin. 10mm is like my Santos 100, I'm looking for thinner than that. The Nautilus is 9mm and feels nice. I've always liked the look of the VC Overseas, I would love to see a wrist shot of that one. Andrew has one the website says is 8mm with a "Swiss Eta 2824" but the detailing on the back cover stinks. I guess it's hard to rep a complex engraving like that.
-
Very nice. I've looked at Pateks, but outside of the Nautilus they seem to be either fantasy watches or "my mother could spot that" fakes. I'd love to find a really good Calatrava.

After having a bunch of dive watches and chunky chronographs, I've decided I really like my watches like I like my women - skinny, attractive and expensive looking. I have a Nautilus rep that I love, and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend some quality reps that are a good mirror of the original in the under 8mm thick range. I prefer mechanical, but I can do quartz in a pinch. Cost isn't really an issue as long as we're under $2k or so Any suggestions? (phone #s of attractive, skinny women who just look expensive are welcome, too)

Is Angus out for the count? What's up with Puretime?
RLudlowe replied to tanya's topic in General Discussion
I just bought a Bvlgari from him and it arrived in six days flat, no problems, all emails returned in a day. EMS is notoriously bad on tracking, however - according to their tracking system the watch still hasn't arrived and it's on my wrist as I type! -
Nice that they even duplicated the mistakes - "IIII" instead of "IV" at 4 The Gens are like that, too - strange they spent all that money developing a watch and never checked the roman numeral system

I've seen Rolex Datejust reps with solid gold cases for $3,000+ At that point you're not paying for the rep but the gold
